Pierce Brosnan may be "no-show" at James Bond 50th anniversary reunion at Oscars...

There's supposed to be some epic Bonding at the Oscars -- the buzz is ... all 6 actors who have played James Bond may appear on stage. But now we're hearing one of them may be a no-show, and shockingly ... it could be Pierce Brosnan.

Brosnan confessed yesterday in Malibu, "Well, they'll be missing one."

It's unclear, but his tone and body language seems to suggest he is the one that wants no part of it.

Who woulda thunk -- Sean Connery was our bet for the holdout.

The producers did not handle Brosnan’s replacement well. Still, if he showed up it would make him look the bigger party.

How will Peter Sellers make it? Isn’t he dead?

Disney made a real gem of a movie in “Darby O’Gill”. Sean Connery in one of, if not his first role. He also sings in it and is not bad at all.

Now that I think of it, he sings in “Dr. No” too.

Michael Caine tells some hysterical stories of their adventures over the years...He’s on Craig Ferguson’s show occasionally.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, is probably in my Top-Five all-time movies, because of Caine. He and Steve Martin were perfect together. He was even great in “Blame It On Rio.”

He’d show up probably for the “Remington Steele” reunion.

And certainly for Mrs. Doubtfire too!

Technically, Peter Sellers wasn't playing Bond, he was playing someone who was playing Bond.

David Niven was James Bond. Since Niven is also dead, your original question is still valid.

I like the Brosnan Bond way more than Moore and Lazenby Bonds. The greatest of them all was Neil Bond of course. Star of "Operation Double 007". Wonder if he was invited.

The tale of a band of escaped British criminals killing innocents, and stealing dynamite for a robbery, the gang leader, Slade (Anthony Quayle) is a homicidal maniac that Tarzan had put in prison before, making the Ape Man's pursuit a 'personal' vendetta. Not even the presence of an alluring distraction (Sara Shane) would deter him on his quest, and the frequent close-ups of the scarred and cold-blooded Slade, and Tarzan, with a fixed, merciless grin across his face, give clear evidence of two predators, circling for a kill. As Tarzan whittles down the gang, the stage is set for a terrific, violent climactic fight that ranks as one of the best of the entire "Tarzan" series. When Tarzan beats his chest and gives the classic Ape yell at the conclusion of TARZAN'S GREATEST ADVENTURE, he's EARNED the right!

Featured in the cast is 29-year old Sean Connery, excellent as the brutal, but wise-cracking "O'Bannion", Slade's right-hand man, and he so impressed Weintraub and director John Guillermin that the pair actually asked him to become the next screen "Tarzan", after Gordon Scott's last contracted film, TARZAN THE MAGNIFICENT. Connery, thrilled, was prepared to accept the role, but a call back from another audition...to play a secret agent in an upcoming production called DR. NO, resulted in a contract, and he, regretfully, passed on Tarzan, and became James Bond, instead! Weintraub ended up replacing Gordon with his 41-year old TARZAN THE MAGNIFICENT co-star, Jock Mahoney, and the new, literate Tarzan would continue on into the sixties.

TARZAN'S GREATEST ADVENTURE may not be everyone's favorite Tarzan film, but in it's daring approach to both the character and the use of actual locations, it certainly deserves it's place as a classic of the series!

Tarzan meets James Bond.

Who woulda thunk it?

His first big movie was actually "Another Time Another Place" - it was a starring role opposite Lana Turner.

He famously had a fight on set with Lana Turner's boyfriend, Johnny Stampanato - a two-bit gangster and convert to Islam who was later stabbed to death by Turner's lesbian daughter.

He does have an attitude of self-importance and an ego that won’t quit. Maybe he is just an a-hole.

If you want to see the movie which purportedly gave birth to the James Bond saga, watch North by Northwest. Hitchcock’s best movie IMO. It has the villain (James Mason), The plot with international intrigue, the sultry girl seductress (Eva Marie Saint), the Hero who rescues the girl with a hair raising last minute bravado (Cary Grant) and the best suspense only Hitchcock knew how to create. Besides scenes from Chicago & Iowa cornfields, my stomping grounds for 3 decades.

Pierce Brosnan wasn’t much at playing Bond anyway.

I agree, Brosnan just isn't cut out for the spy game - too small and wimpy.

The best Bond was obviously Connery but with the advancement of more violence and intensity, Daniel Craig is doing an excellent job as the new Bond.
