I'll Start. I LOVED "Emergency", I loved(what young boy doesn't?) Fire Engines and Sirens.
Friday Night Lights
Combat
Red Skelton Show
Carol Burnett Show
Also liked many already mentioned.
Radio: Fibber McGee and Molly, Sgt Preston of the Yukon, The Shadow, Inner Sanctum (not really a series, more like Twilight Zone).
Television: Was only available after 1960 where I was. Dick Van Dyke, Gun Smoke, Maverick.
Just to name a few....
Growing up we only had one station we could get with our antenna(NBC) and one station we could get sometimes(CBS). The only time I got to watch some of the shows was on vacations to our cousins in the BIG city of Atlanta and Columbia, SC which had stations and stations and even stations that stayed on all night!
Firefly is my all-time favorite show. Walking Dead is catching up to it slowly.
77 Sunset Strip
WKRP in Cincinnati (yes, there ARE phone cops)
Lost in Space (Big fan of Dr. Smith and the robot)
Amos’n’Andy (yeah, I’m a racist)
I’m another MeTV and Rockford Files fan.
“Lost” however, is the only weekly show that I ever carved out time to watch.
Yeah, I forgot, “Have Gun, Will Travel”, great show!!
I also liked Conners as he attended my college, Seton Hall.

Another reason one of my ‘faves’ He was 1B for Brooklyn Dodgers....somehow he couldn’t ‘beat out’ Gil Hodges..<:
1 AB, played for Cubs after....
Also played for Boston Celtics after Army stint.
Another from that era that played BB and Baseball was Gene Conley for the Boston Braves (then Milwaukee) and Boston Celtics. He has a Championship ring from both sports.
There was ONE person who played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, New York Knicks and New York Rangers the same season..
Gladys Gooding, the organist for Ebbetts Field and Madison Square Garden.
Wait until you see the Rifleman segment labelled “Gun Shy” where they deal with the question of whether guns kill, or people kill.
No other TV character is more dependent on the bible to guide his daily life, than Lucas McCain, Lucas lives, eats, and breathes, the bible.
The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show (Frostbite Falls vs Wassamotta U
in football)
The Avengers
The Wild Wild West
Police Squad! Starring Leslie Nielsen (cancelled after six episodes) Harrumph!
“The Rat Patrol”
How many of us guys our age grew up wanting a Jeep from watching that show? (I’ve owned 3)
Mickey Mouse Club with Spin and Marty, Annette, etc... and American Bandstand!!!
Here are two more oldies that were favorites of mine growing up:
"Hennesey" starred Jackie Cooper as a Navy doctor, and the GORGEOUS Abby Dalton as his nurse..and I wish I could remember the name of the basset hound..
"The Lieutenant"..lasted one year..drama about Marines at Camp Pendleton.. inspired me to become a Marine officer.
Other oldies, but greats, that I loved growing up:
"Victory at Sea" and "The Untouchables"
On radio I would have to say Gunsmoke all though there were a quite a few I really liked.
The Rifleman.
Always a moral...saw one recently where “Paw” explained Job’s burden to Mark.
It was wonderful.
Rawhide was the best television show that was ever produced. Eric Flemming taught Clint Eastwood how to act. The theme song was great too.
Rocky & Bullwinkle was not bad either. I laughed as a kid and I laugh now.
I still have my 53 Willys.
