Voice of the Dodgers reminds writer of his deceased dad, and that's part of the reason he loves to talk to the 85-year-old icon.

Vinnie is a legend in LA..God Bless him..you don’t see many Vin Scully’s anymore..he and Chick Hearn are a rare breed

He gave the greatest acceptance speech when he was inducted into the HOF I have ever heard and probably the greatest since Lou G.
He makes me think of my mom listening to Dodger games on the radio when I was a kid.
