The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded a $2.1 million grant over five years for a research project titled, Wild Minds: What Animals Really Think.
The research project is designed to study how animals think and to promote the evolutionary link between animals and humans, as well as animal welfare in the wild and in our homes, according to the award abstract on the NSF Web site.
The project, which includes a 1,500 sq.-ft. traveling exhibit exploring animal cognition, will also place human behavior under the microscope.

They think “these humans are VERY irresponsible with money”.
In the meantime FAA towers are being shut down and border patrols crippled.
I wonder whether the “scientists” are going to conduct the “study” in downtown Chicago: no shortage of animals there.
Or on Pelosi and Reid....
Money well spent. And their conclusions? If any? I really wanna’ know what aminals think (the misspelling was deliberate), cuz’ with a couple more millions given to me, I will study what trees think.
I just asked our cat what she thinks ,she said, “I want treats “
What a cat thinks, "Those creatures that stand on their hind legs all the time feed me, give me shelter, and provide for my every need...Therefore I must be a God and they should worship me.
Dogs have owners, cats have staff.
Same things as most people; food, sex, comfort, safety, family
Another liberal Religion supported by State confiscation of wealth from people who actually work.
They want to make sure that “Some animals are more equal than others” is firmly in there already.
Judging by my cats, they mostly don't.
“Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......wait is that the can opener I hear?”
Let me save the govt $2million.
What animals really think:
1. What am I going to eat today?
2. Who am I going to have sex with today?
But no chemo for Grandma!
We’re broke and the clueless kiddies in Congress keep throwing money we don’t have into black holes like this.
This is reminiscent of the study we paid for decades ago to learn the sex habits of pygmies. The results of that crucial study are used to . . . . . . . . . . . . uh, . . . . . . . . . . . er, . . . . . . . . . . .
(Beats me why we needed to know that!)
I know our dog has an inner clock. She used to stay at the door around 615 PM until I retired and that was my get home from work time. Now she stays at the door starting at 1100 PM when I get home from my late shift on my part time job.
Cats - where is our next tuna feeding? They sleep most of the day and sneak around the house at night.
Who in the House of Representatives is voting for this garbage?
“Therefore they must be God’s”
God’s is possessive. We are all God’s.
You meant gods (plural of god). No inital cap.
Ability To ‘Think About Thinking’ Not Limited Only To Humans According to New Research
