What do you want America to look like in 30-50 years?

I have not posted here in a while, but I wanted to reach out to my fellow freepers for your views on a very important topic: the future of America.

We know our current situation and its continued decline should the course not be altered. I am interested in what America will look like in 30-50 years should we reverse our current course.

So I am curious as to what that America looks like to you. What is your dream, best case scenario 30-50 year vision of America, all facets-overall culture, education, media, government, etc?

Given the choice between here and the utter hell liberals will create using just what you described or living on a spacecraft with bad air and water, working hard for that to survive while heading out to who know what in a dangerous universe, I’ll take option two.

In perspective, 30 years ago was 1983, and 50 years ago was 1963.

In April of 1983, April 4 – First flight of the Space Shuttle Challenger. April 18 – The U.S. Embassy bombing in Beirut which killed 63 people.

In April of 1963, April 7 – Yugoslavia is proclaimed to be a socialist republic, and Josip Broz Tito is named President for Life. April 10 – The U.S. nuclear submarine Thresher sinks 220 miles (350 km) east of Cape Cod; all 129 crewmen die.

I did my bit. My family is grown and gone and is raising families of their own. I don't expect they'll knuckle under to slavery or communism with the lessons I taught.

And I still get called in to teach a few special courses. ;)

It belongs to them from here on out. I did the best I could and taught the best I knew.

Johnny, I am likely older than you, and I expect to still be around.

That said, I expect to see the Republic fully restored...the Republic that our Founders gave us. I also expect to see safeguards added that make it a lot more difficult for the commie-leftist-dems to do again what has been done in the last 100 years or so...and especially beginning with FDR. No more of that kind of crap. I also expect to have a hand in the restoration...in whatever manner might be required to achieve it.

We will become smaller nations based on geography and their assets. When Boulder Dam goes, Vegas is gone overnight, LA in 10 days. Desert regions will suffer, water will be gold.
Only those who have known depredations will fight for freedom, as it was at our founding. God will destroy the cities so we know He is God, nothing new here.

My guess: In 30-50 years, most of our growing glut of seniors will be gone, but not forgotten. They will be remembered by their survivors as a generation who could be counted on to show up at the polls in great numbers to protect their Social Security and Medicare entitlements, at the expense of everyone younger.

But, as their old and sickly protoplasm gradually putrefies and expires, their children and grandchildren will have grown increasingly weary of big government. We will no longer be an aging society and there will be a renewal of the American spirit.

Once this crop of grasping seniors is gone, this will become a great country again.

Our society has always gone back and forth with conservative and liberal stuff. The pendalum constantly goes back and forth. The under 30’s might be our only hope.

I don't know what you mean by that, immigration has mostly led us left since the 1840s and the immigration of the last 40 years is so large and overwhelmingly and never ending that it ends any chance of cycles.

The under 30s spell the end of America, not it's hope.
