Governor Palin to CNN: American Viewers are Smarter Than You Assume
Conservatives4Palin ^ | April 7, 2013 | Stacy Drake

Posted on 04/07/2013 10:05:11 AM PDT by Bratch

Late last night, I made reference to a tweet Governor Palin sent out with a link to last week’s Tony Lee article taking on John Avlon. Somehow I missed the fat that the Governor also posted a note to Facebook on the matter. I apologize.

Via Facebook:

CNN: it’s no wonder your ratings still aren’t matching competitors. American viewers are smarter than you assume, and we simply want truth in reporting.

Please see the article linked below. Wolf Blitzer’s recent coverage of this story really was blisteringly dishonest. First, because he didn’t reach out to me or the SarahPAC staff for rebuttal. Second, because he failed to disclose the anti-tea party associations of the “architect” of this story whose organization is a competitor of my efforts to advance the candidacies of genuine grassroots conservatives – not those handpicked by the permanent political class. As the article explains, in my recent CPAC speech I gulped and denounced the consultants who engage in campaign hopping and have made a racket out of multi-million dollar failures each election cycle for themselves and their cronies. What a shame CNN continues to plug away in a floundering direction with reports like this. The shame is that they employ some top-notch reporters who no doubt believe in truth in journalism, but examples like this diminish the good reporters’ good efforts.

As a side note, I find it interesting that CNN recently disclosed that their old “Crossfire” show might hit their airwaves again. Wasn’t CNN among those who issued blistering criticism about the use of a “crossfire” icon in 2010 to represent political districts we wished to see represented by commonsense conservatives? CNN, among others, implied that using a “crossfire” icon (which was a tactic first employed by Democrats to illustrate political maps of districts they “targeted” to win) was inciting violence.

This past election belies that claim.

The rest of the piece was with many hits in the bullseye, but this one cleaved the arrow that was stuck in the bullseye.

What will CNN do now?

Change the name of Crossfire?

Change the icon?

Cancel the program?

.....or try to ignore the whole thing. (This is of course the most likely response, but that opens up quite a few good avenues for conservatives who remember Gov Palin's post.)

Sarah's the best and has to run to call out the media

But has she even said what I and Rush Limbaugh have said that there is no news, there are no news reporters, the reporters are just democrat operatives posing as reporters. what politician or any other person has said this. I have only heard Limbaugh say it recently. I have been saying this for years(proof is the nickname for this site). Until Republicans or anyone running against democrats calls out the news media and all media for what they are and what they are doing we have no chance to save this country. the media is the main problem then the government the media and democrats created ..

You’re correct of course.
In my view the MSM transitioned from “heavy liberal bias” to “integral members of the regime” in early 2008 with the sudden elevation of Caliph Baraq.

The sad part is that even though traditional media of tv and newspapers is dying off, progressives have pretty much total control of major internet portals (Yahoo, Google, FB, Wiki, etc)

Here is Rush Limbaugh FINALLY saying what needs to be shouted from the roof tops. no wonder he is number 1,. now that Rush has said it maybe people will listen? he needs to repeat it

Boys, bias just doesn't explain this anymore.”<

It's not just a bunch of people there that are... there's something else going on, and I'm gonna tell you what I think it is. Nothing new. Nothing you haven't probably thought of yourself. I don't think there really are any news outlets left anymore. What you and I consider news, there isn't news. News is what happened that we don't know about, that somebody is out there finding out and then telling us. That's not news. Everything today is an agenda. Everything promoting the leftist agenda. There are no news outlets anymore. It's all opinion. Everything, everywhere is opinion, from the cherry-picking of information, what is going to be reported and that's gonna be edited out. What's gonna be reported and what's gonna be ignored.

Cherry-picking of information, editing, the choice of the experts that will be called upon. In economic news, the experts who are always surprised that no matter what direction the unemployment news goes. If only 88,000 jobs were created, ah, the experts are surprised. It's beneath expectations. Or it's above expectations. It's one of the two. The timing of the release of information, it's all opinion now, and I think journalism students — there may be some — but I really think that the editors at news organizations today are the political operatives. And the reporters are the interns in the operation. We're long past bias now. What we've got is actual Democrat Party apparatchiks in the news disguised as journalists.

Thanks ,until a lot of people start calling out the media like I and Rush have, until then we have no chance:

I heard Rush the other day and he was saying some of what I've been thinking for many years. he's the only one that has said it. below is part of what he said and I put a link there.

This past election belies that claim.

No, the last election proves that when you put Democrat-Lite (Romney, McCain, Dole) up against Democrat, the Democrat always wins.

If the GOP-E and our so-called conservative media had actually supported an ACTUAL Republican (hint: any of the other candidates) we would have won the election.

When you put a candidate whose record declares him to be a Progressive Liberal (he supported Global Warming, the Gay Agenda, implemented Gay Marriage all on his own, supported Abortion, raised taxes, etc) up against an honest self-declared Democrat, you lose, each and every time.

They sure don’t demonstrate that at the polls...

It's getting to the point more people earn their living by sitting on their butts and voting every few years than work for a living.

It's why dems like the broken and dependent - frightened people are easy for them to manipulate... and they're reliable voters.

Gov. Palin’s claim was “American Viewers are Smarter Than You Assume”. You are applying conditions to that claim that Gov. Palin didn’t.

I repeat, the last election belies her claim. If American Viewers are all that smart, why is the Senate still controlled by Hairy Reed, why did the ‘Pubbies lose ground in the House and why is zero still occupying the golf cours . . . . . . er, the White House?

The very things you listed as the reason that Romney lost are the very reason that zero is still our TIC (Tyrant-In-Chief!).
