I have often wondered how and why Hispanic US residents welcome millions of new Mexican immigrants.
Legal Hispanic US citizens are living on the edge now. They often deal with a tighter job market, so why do they want millions more coming in to squeeze them out of their jobs?
Their neighborhoods and schools are overcrowded. Why do they want more illegals in at the direct cost to them and their children?
When a group is still in the minority, they suffer the wishes of the majority. When enough are here to be the new majority and reclaim the land, the impression they hold is that they will then dictate to the former majority what they must provide.
Most Hispanic residents that I know do not want all the illegals here for the reasons that you stated and because it gives the residents a bad name. All of the crime and fraud is mostly against the legal residents.
There are exceptions. I had one tenant that had beer parties out in his garage every weekend and the topic was always about Mexican "rights". He was a wannabe community organizer type looking to feather his own nest and I got rid of him at the first opportunity.
