It was in the middle of a Democrat President's second term. Emboldened by re-election, he began to deceive the American people on a wide range of issues. He felt there was nothing that could touch him. In fact he blatantly lied to the American people time and time again feeling as if he could get away with anything.
But then it all went wrong. A citizen journalist who had taken jobs at 7-11, Mcdonalds and grocery stores got tired of the lies, and decided he had enough. He waited for the next lie to happen. And when it did, Matthew Nathan "Matt" Drudge took advantage and launched his career on the back of a Bill Clinton lie. In 1998, Drudge gained popularity when he was the first outlet to break the news that later became the Monica Lewinsky scandal.
Bill Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives on two charges, one of perjury and one of obstruction of justice, on December 19, 1998. He was acquitted by the Senate on February 12, 1999. Requiring a two-thirds majority for a conviction, only 50 senators (out of 100) voted guilty on the obstruction charge and 45 on the perjury charge. The Senate was 17 votes short of removing Clinton from office.
Today we have a similar situation. A President in the middle of his second term, feeling emboldened by a reelection victory who has possibly bitten off more than he can chew. And now we have another Patriot, Glenn Edward Lee Beck, attempting to launch his own network. This time it could be on the back of a lie or lies by one Barack Obama.
We will find out Monday.
He was working on it. But Beck has gone further than that.
Oh sure there are others who bash Obama every night. But Beck has succeeded in getting under the O’s skin.

LOL Obama started having 5 PM press conferences about twice a week. Beck must have set some kind of record for being preempted by the emperor.
I said the same thing back then and pointed out that Demo strategists should have put on their "statesman" suits to give the word to Billy Jeff that he ought to fall on his sword for the good of the party. While that might have meant we'd have seen Gore elected in 2000, it's far from certain.
I have heard Beck say he has breaking information......and he will reveal it soon - yawn.
It never has been or he is behind the curve - yawn.
If he has information he should just say it or - yawn.
And no Beck is nothing like Drudge.

I don’t think so. Beck has a team of security guards and is ready for it.
PLUS, he was given these documents by 6 Senators. Those Senators want this exposed. I have a feeling they are somehow ensuring his safety.
