The Sierra Club Exposed
Townhall ^ | 6/9/2013 | Marita Noon

In a news cycle where the lack of transparency is revealed daily, it is refreshing when something previously opaque exposes its true motives. Such is the case for the Sierra Club and its desire to block oil and gas drilling.

I’ve written many times on environmental groups’ influence over use of public lands and how they often use claims of some endangered flora or fauna as cover for their efforts to block any beneficial economic development, such as mineral extraction or agricultural activity. They cry about some critter when in fact it is really about control—control of public lands.

Turtle islands, earth islands, sky islands, greenbelts, migratory bi-ways. Only the elitist of the elite will be allowed in or near bio-spheres and declared wilderness areas. The rest of us should shut up and just be the drones we were meant to be. Living in the population centers using public transit if needed (you won't need to) in our little 800 sq/ft high rise monitored housing. Gotta love the eco-wackos who are unwilling to do the right thing for the sake of gaia and take themselves out of the picture. Because they are SOOOO much smarter than the rest of us. Riiigggggtttt!

Sierra Club is anti-humanist. Advocates a 2 child policy, is for Population Control(programs that sterilize 3rd world poor populations and more),pro abortion, partners with Planned Parenthood, anti-gmo, etc, etc. All of these things outside the bounds of an environmental oranization.

“In a world of plenty, antihumanism declares that the hungry may not eat. Where there is space enough for everyone, anti-humanism insists that myriads must be slain to make room for others.
Where cures are available to avert disease, antihumanism demands that they not be employed. When new technology could make power cheaper and cleaner, antihumanism cries halt. When
improved crops offer more food with fewer chemicals, antihumanism says no. Instead of welcoming the human spark of inventive genius, antihumanism decries it as a threat. When the human
race improves nature, antihumanism condemns it for doing so, and calls for arrest and severe punishment. Where democracy allows for freedom of thought and conscience, antihumanism seeks
to submerge reason and compassion and turn citizens into a herd. Where means exist on every side to make life on Earth a Heaven, antihumanism demands they be forgone to sentence ourselves to Hell.”
“If the idea is accepted that the worlds’ resources are fixed with only so much to go around, then each new life is unwelcome, each unregulated act or thought is a menace, every person is fundamentally
the enemy of every other person, and each race or nation is the enemy of every other race or nation. The ultimate outcome of such a worldview can only be enforced by stagnation, tyranny, war and genocide.
The horrific crimes advocated or perpetuated by antihumanism’s devotees over the past two centuries prove this conclusively.”

The sierra club brought Colorado millions of dead trees killed by pine beetle. over 100,000 acres of trees blew down by Steamboat springs and the Forest service went in to clean things up. The sierra club sued to stop them we got billions of pine beetles millions of trees.

LOL! Thanks for clearing that up. They are like zombies. They WON’T go away. They just keep comin’. Again, to the eco-assclowns. Do the world a favor and take yourselves out of the equation. It’s the right thing to do for the good of gaia.

Wow. For a second there I thought you were going to say the area actually did get cleaned up. That’s not allowed. Would cut down on the fuel required for HUGE forest fires. Can’t have that. Pine beetles gotta live too. It’s only fair.

I knew the Sierra Club was full of it in 1980 when I heard a report on the radio by the Sierra Club while at work that fragile Alpine tundra plants in Rocky Mtn. Nat. Park were in danger from tourists walking on them. I had just been up on Trail Ridge Road the day before and had seen those "fragile" Alpine tundra plants pushing up through the asphalt walking paths the Park Service has up there.

Never mind that the amount of Alpine tundra accessible by car is indescribably miniscule in comparison to the tens of thousands of square miles that aren't.

Most of them never even drive out to a forest, prairie or desert much less hoof it out into the great outdoors and find out what it’s really like.

Just read an article explaining homosexuality as the product of childhood sexual assault. Seems to me the pathology of enviro extremism is likely the result of denying children pets. I am sure none of them had parents who gardened either. Wouldn’t want their precious hands to get dirty.

There might be something to that. We had pets a garden and went hunting and fishing. From age 5 - 15 (approx) I was a little dirt grub. You couldn't keep me in the house. Maybe they didn't want me in the house. LOL
