BANFF, Alta. — A Banff man took the phrase “pics or it didn’t happen” to another level over the weekend when he managed to snap photos of a wolf chasing him down the highway while riding his motorcycle.
Tim Bartlett was travelling north on Hwy. 93 South in Kootenay National Park on Saturday afternoon when a wolf crossed a lane of traffic to try to intercept his motorcycle. Bartlett rode for another 100 metres up the highway before looking back to watch the wolf, which had stopped in the middle of the road before making its way back into the trees.

My Siberian Husky looks just like that....she has one gold eye and one blue eye. People often mistake Alyeska for a wolf. That’s why she wears a very bright neon orange collar. She’s actually a pussy cat in wolf’s clothing.....is now 14 years old and rather crippled. She’s starting to lose bladder control and is in some pain (mostly controlled with some meds from the vet) I’m afraid we may have to put her down soon. It will break my heart, but I will not let her suffer.

All canines just HATE motorcycles. Biting the tires off them is what they crave and dream about at night!

I’m sure it ended up badly for the buffalo, but hey, the bear has gotta eat too.
Size - 150lbs - does matter in a wolf. At that size, they can clamp your throat and drag you off like a bunny.
Imagine the european wolves that clandestinely mated with the English Mastiffs the Lords and King kept... 300lbs of pure nightmare that kept you from poaching the King’s deer and more than likely spawned the Werewolf meme 500 years ago.
The stunning thing about that series of photos is a guy was standing in the middle of the road taking those photos as the bear ran by him.
At least he wasn’t texting while driving.
My point was, whatever their size...if you have no defense, they are all deadly.
