Wikipedia

The name of the series is Cosmos: A Space-Time Odyssey.

The series is hosted by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. Executive producers include Ann Druyan and Seth MacFarlane. Also on board are director Brandon Braga and cinematographer Bill Pope.

Quote from Neil deGrasse Tyson:

As humans, we like hearing stories. We have what I think is the greatest story ever told: the story of the universe, and our place within it, and how we came to discover our place within it. And finally, we have the methods and tools to bring that to the screen.

I had really high hopes when I saw and heard the intro in Carl Sagan's voice. Is this to be a re-imagining or a digitally remastered version of Sagan's classic?

No.

I then saw Neil deGrasse Tyson and my heart fell. I can't stand that guy. Give me Carl Sagan any day.

He killed Pluto as a planet. He’ll tell you that it was the Internation Astrophysical Union... but it was really him! ;-)

That looks very cool.

Too bad we have a president that single-handedly crippled our space program, something I have always thought should be a top national priority.

I guess the best word I could come up with is 'smarmy'. Some people just irritate me. No explanation.

Paleontologist Bob Bakker.
Glenn Beck
Bobby Flay

There are others. But you get the picture.
