When I was channel surfing, I came across this show and it looked and sounded ridiculous. But once you give it a chance, it really draws you in.
Contestants (1 named mand and 1 naked woman as a team) are dropped off in a remote and harsh location and are given nothing except 1 item which they can bring along. They must surviive using nothing but those items and their cunning for 21 days.
Give it a chance. I am hooked.

After the last episode I began to suspect that they were selecting for guys with problems too. The recon Marine was the biggest disappointment (because I expected more) but he straightened his attitude out by the end.
Actually the naked thing, with only one survival item each takes them out of the realm of “Survivor” and puts them into a real survival mode where they have to do for themselves, hopefully as a team, and find ways to cover themselves against the elements, find food and water and come up with a way to make fire for heat, cooking and sterilizing water. The unboiled water thing has put one of them out early and made another moron very sick, after their female partners warned them not to drink it untreated.
It is interesting to watch the dynamics and more interesting that the men, despite their strengths and their survival knowledge seem to be worse at surviving than the women.
The last episode in the LA swamps was by far the most difficult but the two did make it for the 21 days with absolutely no dry land, wood, no real food, gators and water moccasins aways close by.
He said he was a city guy though. My guess is that he learned the minimal survival skills he needed to as a Marine.
The nimrod with the goggles was afraid to go into the ocean to fish, so the woman took care of that task.
See, now I’ll never have to watch to see how people struggle just 100 feet from the RV and the 20-man camera crew.

I like it. The swamp had the only real man...the rest were poseurs with faked resumes.
True and he admitted that in the service he was backed up by all the support services provided to guys on a mission. That’s not the same kind of survival situation at all. But it was his attitude not his skills that sucked. All of his whining and blaming the girl was lame. She had a lot of skills and knowledge and he just dismissed it as useless. It wasn’t. She was making a lot of useful stuff.
I would fear the mosquitoes more than snakes and gators. They will suck you dry in no time and you have no protection.
The one thing they give them is a condom right??
If you watch the show, you will soon see that sex is the furthest thing on their mind.
BS, Recon Marines are on the same level as SEALs as far as training minus some of the more intense water parts.
I don’t know. The guy in the LA swamp episode did a lot of complaining and then got depressed. But he pulled it together in the end too. They were probably the best team so far. They finished on the highest note. They hit bottom and turned it around to a victory over their circumstances.

My “one item” would be Kartographer’s bug-out bag.
That was the DUMBEST show premise on that channel, and the “naked” made no sense whatsoever (except to garner T&A veiwers/voyeurs).

No, the point is that the TV network and the rest of the filthy media want to normalize public nudity for the chilrun of course. There is no real good reason for these people not to have a pair shorts on, what difference would that make?
ANYONE who allows themselves to be on camera naked gets ZERO respect from me.
Hate to break this to you, but most of us need to be well-fed, comfortable in our environment, clean and with an iron-clad exit strategy before any shenanigans take place.
I don't see any of that here.
