‘“We are called to respect the religion of the other, its teachings, its symbols, its values’’

The statement he made is not about not predicting. It is very specific....I will never respect teachings that call Jews apes and non-believers killable

Maybe he meant respect in the sense that one should have respect for a dangerous animal. Like, the don’t-rush-in-where-angels-fear-to-tread kind of respect.

Other than that, I got nothing.

Wrong approach.

It is time to eradicate Islam, Your Holiness.

Find a Christian King who will take the war to them.

An appeal to reason to patently unreasonable people.

Christianity proposes that the world will one day bend knee as one to the Messiah (Christos is just the Greek name for M.) but that day will come at some indefinite time through persuasive conversion and the manifest divinity He will bring with Him. Only one major religion, in its open core philosophy, insists that anyone who doesn't go along with their program tout suite suffer execution or enslavement till they die.

Unless one is a coward willing to do anything to cling to life at the cost of soul and dignity it's ultimately impossible to coexist with these people. Temporary coexistence will only work until they have numbers in their favor and work up the chutzpah to put the knife to your throat.

He doesn’t have to worry about the Christian side of the equation.

Sorry,Your Holiness...the best I can do is tolerate and even *that* won't come before they stop raping, murdering, conquering and destroying everything they can get their hands on.In other words...until they stop being moslems.

Some believe the Pope to be infallible.

The Pope is believed to be "infallible" only in certain specific situations...not *always*.I don't think this qualifies as one of those situations.

Okay, Muslims, as a Christian I’m all for this mutual respect thing.

You go first.

This Pope has a bad case of running at the mouth. He has picked one controversial topic after another to equivocate about or appear to take a social justice in the bad sense of the word position. It verges on liberation theology. This is why prior to a new Pope being elected, I was arguing against hiring a Latin American Pope or a candidate from any third world country, and my worst fears are being realized. I want Pope Benedict back!!!!!
