About that almost ‘Carrington Event’ two weeks ago ( Solar Eruption)....Eronous?

Lots of people talking about this article in the UK daily Mail:

A near miss for Earth: Solar flare that could have knocked out power, cars and phones came so close two weeks ago

An electromagnetic pulse that could have knocked electrical equipment over continent-scale regions barely missed Earth two weeks ago, it has been revealed.

This is a great resource if you’re interested in CME/Solar Wind.

The OP is correct - the latest CME have been pretty mediocre. There is one burst that will pass just ahead of us this week.

Aw...my bad eyes did it again.....

I need a much bigger Monitor,.

Maybe it is my new keyboard

It Doesn't have a home key with a little bump on it which allows me to type without looking at the keys....

It's a nice little Logitech keyboard that is washable....though that would be good and it has a nice clicky feel to it.

Yah ...must be the keyboard...that is suppose to be ....ENORMOUS!!

When it comes to news articles about events here in the U.S. the UK papers are far more accurate and unafraid to tell the news.

When it comes to their own business and other news genres I suspect you are correct.

Doesn’t have to be near as bad as 1859 to cause massive disruption. Hope North/South America is in darkness when it hits earth.
