That was GAWD-AWFUL! Bad decision to have a little girl do a woman's job.

I won't get into the reverse discrimination of having Hispanics ONLY represent the USA.
Next up: Lithuanians.

Yah!
My 88 yr old dad constantly complains that nobody SINGS the Nat Anthm anymore...like a singalong.
I was ready for this as it happens every time we watch a game start. I started to defend her then she got going...and I said....
Never mind......

Last several sports events the Star Spangled Banner was performed, not sung. Some of the high note screeching was a bit much to bear. I think that Hillary is the winner in that department.

BTW...who is the big-legged blonde who is in the glitzy intro?
And why isn’t she wearing a mini-skirt?

What “little girl”? I saw a grown woman with an awful voice (almost as bad as Rosanne) trying to belt out our National Hymn. It was so bad that I looked up from my computer and asked my husband to mute it.

Star Spangled Banner is difficult to sing and some of the people who have tried to sing it end up botching the job horribly. Why not use an instrumental version that is dignified and easy to play? My suggestion is an arrangement of the Star Spangled Banner composed by Felix Vinatieri, band master for Custer's 7th Calvary. A CD with this arrangement is available

I was hoping for an updated massacre for my teaching files! LOL!

Maybe she’s from the world famous Pittsburgh Opera.
Oh wait...Pittsburgh doesn’t know from opera — but it does have a ballet school.

I think it's time to change the national anthem to something that's more singable.
What about "Yankee Doodle Dandy"? It kind of segues into "Take Me Out To The Ballgame."
