Vietnam-era fliers buried side-by-side at Arlington

Buried for more than 40 years inside the plane they were flying when they were shot down over Laos in 1969, Major James Sizemore and his navigator Major Howard Andre made their final journey home Monday to Arlington National Cemetery, where they were laid to rest just the way they flew: side by side.

A single bugler played TAPS as the families of the airmen gathered and two horse drawn caissons made their way through the cemetery.

Overhead, eight civilian pilots performed a tribute flyover at their own expense after the Air Force said it couldn’t perform a traditional flyover due to sequestration budget cuts.

No fly over? Budget cuts?

Fox news had story. USAF said no money for fly over, so a volunteer group put on a farewell flight of a Douglas B-26 Invader and 2 NA P-51 Mustangs. The two pilots flew and died in their B-26 in Vietnam

But the IRS is still producing their Star Terk parodies and Obamaphones are still being allocated their monthly minutes.

How much more will we take.

USAF said no money for fly over, so a volunteer group put on a farewell flight of a Douglas B-26 Invader and 2 NA P-51 Mustangs.

It was more than just these 3 aircraft. Warrior Aviation is the civilian outfit that gave the flyby and one flight was the standard "Missing Man" 4 which looked to be straight wing fighters, maybe F-80s? Their web site has a spot for a $50 donation to cover the probable cost of $24k just in avgas and jet fuel.

The government did cooperate in giving the needed permissions; Eight civilian pilots honored the veterans, arranging permission from the Department of Homeland Security, Secret Service, and FAA with an aerial tribute above Washington.

The jet fly over was L-39’s. Former soviet block trainers that are popular here as sport planes.

No money for a fly over by the Air Force for these heroes and their loved ones yet the Air Force has money to fly Clown Prince nobama, his grifter family & hangers-ons and his pinheaded staff all over the world at their whim. Disgusting.
