Although Poutine is very Canadian, I would suggest a properly done Tourtière, which is more of a meal than a side dish. A Tourtiere is a Canadian meat pie.

Feh.

They don’t have my Ginger With Too Much Salmon dinner, served with brown rice and chopped shitake mushrooms, red peppers and scallions, and a side dish of asparagus steamed over sesame oil flavored water and sprinkled with sesame seeds.

A couple of cold beers and a bag of peanuts is my definition of a “Power Lunch”.

A burger???? Oh come on now. A great Bison steak, fried chicken, etouffe, shrimp and grits, rainbow trout, oysters on the half shell, a loaded hot dog, a bowl of chili

Those are a few of my favorite things.

I notice they didn’t include Sweden...is that because lutefisk is so well loved? /s

I didn’t see open pit barbecued spare ribs on the list, so by definition this list is bushwa.

One of my best meals was a Scottish Salmon Salad in a English pub right in the center of England. And I am sure the fine English beer had nothing to do with it.

Then there was a boat covered with sushi delivered from an appreciative client in Hollywood. The wooden boat was almost 2 feet long and the best part. There was only two of us in the business that time of night when it was delivered. Yummy stuff.

A man was invited to a Swedish wedding but his friend warned him about some of the more unusual customs. His friend said they had a custom of sorts, like door prizes. Third prize was a date with a bridesmaid. Second prize was a date with the maid of honor...

He shockingly said “You can’t mean first prize is...”

“Yep, ten pounds of Lutefisk!”
