Oh yeah. German nature worship coincided exactly with the Nazi rise.

Vegetarianism, animal rights etc...

The nazists of yesteryear were indistinguishable from today’s socialists, including all the history of the democrats.

And Lindbergh probably was involved in the kidnapping of his own baby. Very nasty stuff.

Thank you for the post, Olympiad Fisherman. Pinging the Agenda 21 interest group.

This is a stunning and not-well-known facet of the roots of modern environmentalism, “sustainability,” and ultimately what we are now fighting as Agenda 21 being foisted on us by the UN.

If anyone wants to be on or off the Agenda 21 ping list, please notify me by Freepmail. It is a relatively low volume list in which we have been exploring the UN Agenda21 and related topics. We have collected our studies with threads, links, and discussions on the Agenda 21 thread which can be found here:

NEW ACTION THREAD:

Post 128 of the Action Thread is a summary of the history of Agenda 21, “what they are doing”, “what to do about it” and a good bibliography for further reading.

Lindbergh was sent to the South Pacific to train pilots. He did so, but got involved in shooting at Zeros, and was shortly recalled to the mainland. :(

What he did in later life is excusable, much as with the possible dementia Barry Goldwater suffered.

Oh wow. I had heard a bunch of things about him, but not that. Geez.

Your previous posting of the article and comments on Walter Christaller were interesting. No doubt totalitarians love massive social engineering schemes.

This American Thinker article sites a “Green Nazi” who was well known for waste-water and water run-off systems. My only question is - where is the line drawn between useful ideas and projects, and totalitarian schemes?

"The nazists of yesteryear were indistinguishable from today’s socialists,...

Except for that mass murder in concentration camp thing.

Lindberg worked for Lockheed during the war as a consultant, and taught Army Air Force pilots how to run their engines lean to get greater range, a technique that was necessary for the successful mission to kill Admiral Yamamoto. His interest in the Nazis was common at the time. The US, UK, USSR, as well as Germany, Japan, and Italy, all sought to understand how government authority could be used to better the life of people. Germany made a more concerted effort than most to hide their atrocities while exaggerating their successes. Only after the war did the great horror of their concentration camps reveal the true nature of their creed. Before that they were just another country that attacked its neighbors, even its allies.

Really? You don’t think Mao used camps? And the Democrats have a sizable Maoist segment.

Along with the admin establishment who planned to exterminate 25 million Americans who could not be “re-educated”.

I always thought it curious how when he was posing for photos he looked just like a Nazi. Rarely smiled, like he was dead emotionally. Even when they gave him a ticker tape parade - no emotion. Hello, is anyone home in there? Reminded me of Himmler. Then you get someone like Lou Gehrig where it’s the exact opposite, it was rare you didn’t see him smiling.

I understand that it was all the murkiness surrounding the kidnapping of his son that led him to move to Europe for a number of years before returning home in time to start pushing for American non-intervention in the war.

There is no doubt that Agenda 21 is rooted in the yesteryear plans of National Socialism. Austrian Nazi Kurt Waldheim was heavily involved in the UN during the 1970’s developing its green wing into a powerful international movement against American interests.

Dementia later in life is a terrible thing. The article makes it sound as though Charles may have gone off the rails fairly early. Celebrity tends to screw people up also.

The article makes some good points. There is very little good in what the “environmental movement” has morphed into. It has been hijacked from people genuinely concerned with preserving a quality environment by those with a communist agenda.

Yes I heard that too. There’s a few books out on the subject and websites. Personally I think it’s quite possible. Lindbergh had the personality traits of a sociopath, completely non-emotional which is why you rarely saw him smile even when they were giving him ticker tapes parade. And then his affinity with the Nazi party even though he knew what they were doing to the Jews. He reminds me a lot of Henrich Himmler, that same non-emotional state where you just know he could kill you and not think twice, just a walking corpse devoid of humanity

Here’s an interesting review:

Case Closed: Lindy did it.
By A Customer on August 26, 1998
Format: Hardcover
As a 25+ year law enforcement veteran, and current homicide detective (and NO, I was not involved in the O.J. investigation) my first impression upon hearing of this book and its premise, was to dismiss it out of hand. After all, I had read most everything else about the Lindbergh case and there had never been a hint that the kidnap was anything but real. Then I read the book. It’s true, the book is not exceedingly well written but these two guys are not professional journalists. What I sensed as I read was the presence of a fellow dogged police investigator (Monier) and, what I have begrugingly come to admire over the years: the skeptical mind of the criminal defense lawyer (Ahlgren). In tandem, their approach to sleuthing an old case is deadly. As I proceeded through the book all the crazy facts of the case which had never seemed to make sense to anyone, and which had provided much of the lure to the Lindbergh case, suddenly seemed to fall into place. The authors show in Lindbergh himself those personality traits which, in my own experience, are consistent with a parent who commits a terrible crime, and then concocts a cover-up. Did Lindy in fact do it? The authors are honest enough to conceed that Lindy as culprit is only one of many scenarios, although one that has previosly been overlooked by the journalists and other amateurs who have studied this case. For me, in my own experience, I’d say it’s the most likely explanation.

The “Green Movement” BEGAN in Nazi Germany. There was a book “The Greening of America” that made that connection, I THINK. It’s been many, many years since I read up on that. The Nazis were against the industrialization of Germany and blamed that on the Jews. They wanted to return Germany to the idilic country it was before industrialization, pure natural land for their pure Aryan race.
