Crush up some exlax, and sprinkle it on some popcorn. Feed it to the chicken and then take it home.

For some added fun, think up some Burma Shave type jingles:

If your chicken
has been naughty,
Chickenlax
will make him potty.

Chickenlax

Just wait for your neighbor I suppose. Not sure how worried I would get over others that might have escaped. I’m no expert on them, but I would guess they won’t go too far, and can survive the elements for a night.

One thing I do know though.

Using a feather is sexy.
Using the whole d&*” chicken is disgusting!

I once had a tomcat that brought me a gift of the neighbors pet prairiechicken, and he didn’t hurt the bird at all. Amazing really. It was very docile.

I had to carry it and throw it back to the neighbors house of course.

Rooster or hen? (with regard to “friendly”) Rooster, don’t even think of turning your back.

Do you have any bird seed or squirrel mix? I don’t think you should feed it rice. It might swell up & make it sick. We used to feed baby chicks oatmeal, but not too much cause it can give them the runs.

And do you have a wildlife rescue where you are? They’d be the best people to give you advice.

I’ll Freepmail you the 24 hr hotline to the one NW of San Antonio if that’ll help.
It’s not a toll call.

Squeeze some Jack Daniels in an eye needle and feed the chicken first.

Some say it is an urbane legion but I heard , well read that if you feed a chicken rice they will explode. I saw the typo spell check error but it is dinner time and I don’t have enough white out because I have a 21” monitor.

When I had a chicken show up at my house she came with a stray cat. They hung out together.

Hens. The neighbors said roosters were too much trouble.

Small one of some sort.
