Arctic ice cap grows 29% in one year

...days before the annual autumn re-freeze is due to begin, an unbroken ice sheet more than half the size of Europe already stretches from the Canadian islands to Russia's northern shores.

The Northwest Passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific has remained blocked by pack-ice all year. More than 20 yachts that had planned to sail it have been left ice-bound and a cruise ship attempting the route was forced to turn back.

Actually according to the NASA site with pictures from 2012 and 2013... it is SIXTY EIGHT PERCENT LARGER IN ONE YEAR! That is a ONE MILLION SQUARE MILE INCREASE IN ONE YEAR!

Well you see it is because of CO2 reductions that the warming trend has been reversed and now we need to continue reducing CO2 until all those white people that live in the northern latitudes freeze to death.

Global Warming guru Algore – wearing his ever present Nobel medal – is seen here en-route to an important “scientific” conference in Nassau hosted by the UN/IPCC where he was to be the keynote speaker.

Not only is the increasing ice cap caused by global warming, it’s proof of global warming.

I’ll tell you about the ice cap and getting to the north pole. You go to Greenland and a helicopter takes you and dumps you on the ice cap.

My director of documentary films son, spent three months on the ice cap headed toward the north pole. A doctor and an expert polar explorer type went with the group. They were recreating the trip in 1911 when Amundsen and Scott raced to the south pole. They used dogs and sledges and those aren’t permitted any more at Antarctica so the race was recreated on the northern ice cap.

The two groups of explorers ate the exact type of food the original explorers ate and used the same ice/snow trappings the original explorers did down to the same type clothing they wore.

That ice sheet is 1 mile deep and at it’s deepest point it is 1.9 miles deep. There are two main dangers on the ice cap. Everything is white and you can’t see fissures in the ice and can step into one and never be seen again. That is one of the two reasons the expert was there as he knew how to avoid these fissures.

At one point, son wanted a particular shot and stepped to the area he needed to be to get that shot and stepped into a fissure. He was grabbed and pulled out by the expert.

The other danger on the ice is frostbite on the male penis. There is layer after layer after layer of insulated material over the private areas of a male. The male is in the extreme cold way below freezing and must unbutton, unzip, all those layers in order to urinate. The penis will begin to freeze fast so the male rushes to complete the job. Anxious to get back into the tent warmth, he doesn’t zip, button, zip, button all the layers and the penis freezes from the tip backward.

I have seen a film of a male this happened to and the front part of the penis was black. He was lucky in the fact that he was not circumcised. He was flown off the ice to a hospital where surgeons removed the dead skin.

At another time, son took three older explorers in different areas, one a journalist that covered wars, one a ship explorer, one a pole explorer, on the ice pack and one of those men had to be flown out due to penis frostbite.

That one mile thick ice pack isn’t going anywhere.

After the 3 months of nothing but white on the ice pack, son said seeing color again blows your mind. The color rushes into your brain and you have to adjust to seeing it.
