The Four Least Corrupt Countries In The World
Business Insider ^ | 12/03/2013 | MICHAEL KELLEY

Denmark, New Zealand, Finland, and Sweden are the four least corrupt countries in the world, according to Transparency International's 2013 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI). The U.S. is listed as the 19th least corrupt country.

Somalia, North Korea, and Afghanistan are the most corrupt.

The CPI ranks countries and territories based on how corrupt their administrative and political institutions are perceived to be on a scale from 0 (highly corrupt) and a 100 (very clean).

Denmark and New Zealand both scored a 91 while Finland and Sweden both scored 89.

Over the last 20 years, New Zealand has developed into a free market economy in which welfare is provided mostly on the basis of need.

The other three countries follow the general Nordic welfare model, which supports a "universalist" welfare state aimed at enhancing individual autonomy and promoting social mobility by maximizing labor force participation, promoting gender equality, providing extensive benefits, and redistributing wealth.

I would have thought Mexico was No. 1 or No. 2; peoper there pay bribes to obtain basic services from “underpaid” officials. Spain also

Actually, it’s worse than that... they allowed a KNOWN PEDOPHILE to adopt:

If I ever have need to bug out of this country, New Zealand or Australia seem like attractive alternatives. Are there any Freepers in those countries that can vouch for them?

You could email Carol Moseley-Braun, another of the IL “jewel” politicians, and she could tell you about NZ.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (original title in Swedish: Män som hatar kvinnor – literally, men who hate women) is a crime novel by the late Swedish author and journalist Stieg Larsson.

Where they IGNORE the criminal MUSLIM immigrant problem where it is a near certainty that a Nordic girl will get raped by a Muslim. BTW. Isn’t Denmark the country where they (parents) are begging for the right to euthanize children?

Nope, no corruption here. Apparently morality and political correctness weren’t parts of the assessment.

Bingo. On the other hand, if you are suspected of leaving the country for India, where you can homeschool your kids in peace, you can be dragged off of the plane before takeoff.

Mexico is in the 30s on the 0-100 scale, so the are pretty darn corrupt. Which is about as shocking as finding gambling at Rick’s Cafe.

Under modern standards child euthanasia and Muslim rape are not considered signs of corruption.

For some time, I’ve held the firm belief that this is most certainly the country in which I grew up - even the World for that matter.

Yesterday while waiting on my truck to get a TPMS tire fixed, you know those nagging frigging tire pressure sensors that have batteries that go bad - the ones that the government mandates be installed now?, I was speaking to another gentleman of my age who voiced the exact same thought. I at least feel I am not alone in this any more. Small comfort. If I had my way, I’d have every Muslim thrown out of this country along with all the illegals.

Australia and NZ are great, just make sure your background is spotless and you have more than enough verifiable income/cash to support yourself, neither country is easy to immigrate to, unless its for reasons of asylum

Provided you want to give up the right to keep and bear arms, And in the case of Australia, you like lots of deadly venomous critters from paralysis ticks to kraits to funnel web spiders to box jellies, etc.

I know. I read it. It was written by a communist who believed that Swedish industry and government were in cahoots in corrupt ways.

The fictional novel was supposed to be taking place against this supposedly real corrupt background.

Yes, he was a commie, but I thought it was generally accepted that there was some level of corruption in Sweden.

Or maybe he was just completely delusional.

Except for the cold, a better choice would be Switzerland. Far from perfect on gun rights but a great deal better than NZ or Australia. Ranked #7 on the corruption list. Plus they don't cave to the Muzzies (yet).

VERY high taxes in Switzerland. There is in addition to all the other taxes, a 10% church tax on income also. Was just there recently and also in France. Several of the people I talked to worked in Switzerland but lived in France because France had lower taxes (hard to believe but that’s what they said)
