Time to fill up the lanterns with whale oil blubber again.

I f’ing hate these new bulbs. They feel like they suck your soul out of your body.

OMG, I’m glad I happened to see this on FR. I’d forgotten more bulbs are going extinct. Will buy more now before the end.

I'm gonna miss my 100w-200w-300w mogul-base 3-way. I'm completely resigned to it.
(And I used it to heat my apartment in college).

Some days it’s like government is just around to be a total pain in the ass.

since regular bulbs’convert 95% of energy to heat, and only 5% to light, could one not reclassify them as heaters that also incidentally give off light?

This is SO stupid!
I especially need to stock up on candelabra bulbs.
This annoys me to no end and I don’t like having to use up shelf space hoarding dang light bulbs.

Here in Seattle, I can legally sell marijuana, but I can go to jail for selling the wrong kind of light bulbs.

Some people need full spectrum light bulbs, especially in the winter.

I purchased 5 of the new LED light bulbs today (Lowes brand) and I have to say I am very impressed. They put out 60w and only use 13w and they are bright! Much warmer light than I expected. If they last half as long as they claim it will be worth it.
Probably going to go LED in the house as well considering my kids have never turned a light out!

You can continue to buy incandescent light bulbs at “newcandescent.com” which is now a new advertiser on Rush Limbaugh’s radio show. Check them out, and they are legal incandescent bulbs, originally considered a more industrialized version modified and meet the new standards for bulbs.

Can’t blame Obama for this one. IIRC, it was introduced by a Repubilcan congressman.

since regular bulbsconvert 95% of energy to heat, and only 5% to light
Eventually all the energy is converted to heat, one way or another
