Once again, Moms Demand Mayors for Illegal Action waves the bloody shirt. This time their Facebook page is exploiting the tragic death of Claire Davis. And once again MDA reveals itself as an organization dedicated to civilian disarmament.

Meanwhile, they ignore the fact that if there had not been an armed person already at the school, Claire probably wouldn’t have been the only fatality.
I’d rather live in a country where a few innocents occasionally die, than a country where the government has completely disarmed all of us, and every innocent can (and often does) die. I know too much of man’s history of brutality and repression to feel any other way.

Yes, every year several thousand people are wrongfully killed. (ie. not people killed while committing a crime or committing suicide) However, every year roughly 2.5 million people are spared from a violent attack, rape, or murder by a legal defensive use of a firearm. Hey, would-be gun grabbers ... do you still want to disarm women, the weak, the elderly, the outnumbered? How many attacks, rapes, and murders can we put on your conscious? Do you have one? Or are you some kind of sick freak that wants to see millions of people hurt? Yes, several thousand dead a year is bad - the alternative is far far worse. So pull your heads out of your agendas and consider the consequences of your advocacy.
The difference between Sandy Hook and Arapahoe? Probably apples to oranges but one thing stands out. Sandy Hook - dial 911 and pray. 20 minutes later it ends with 26 innocent dead. Arapahoe - armed security on site. Ends in 80 seconds with the shooter dead and regrettably one innocent life taken. So, would-be gun grabbers, how {expletive} thick are you? How many have to be injured and killed before it gets through your indoctrinated skulls that "gun free" zones and passive security measures DO NOT WORK!
This is the very reason we have a Constitution, so that throughout our history a few cranks, some of whom may even get elected president, can't just arbitrarily change matters on a whim.

Given some of the comments from the shooter on his Facebook page, why aren’t these parents blaming Alan Grayson and the Progressives who constantly spew vile and hate against those they disagree with.
Aside from the gun, didn’t this kid also have incendiary devices he could have used even if he didn’t have access to a firearm?
Which is one of the reasons I carry - not just for my protection or that of my friends and family I may be with - but for anyone and everyone who may be threatened by a whack job. One of my tactical instructors noted that when you start carrying in public you had better think about it and decide ahead of time just how much of a risk you are willing to take. Will you engage if there is no immediate threat to you and yours? I've thought about it. I'll engage.
If they actually WERE demanding gun sense, they would be asking for more legal open carry laws!
Please don't place the two organizations in the same league.While they may use similar tactics,MADD does important work eliminating drunk driving,which kills tens of thousands per year and for which there's NO excuse.Firearm ownership,OTOH,has a number of good "excuses",the best being the Second Amendment.
And yes,my family *has* been devastated by a drunk driver.It will be 26 years ago,tomorrow,that we buried my 18 year old niece (and her boyfriend) who were killed by a drunk driver who was "very well known" to the local police.
