The customers at a Connecticut Starbucks are on their third day of a record-breaking pay-it-forward spree as more than 1,000 customers have cheerfully agreed to pay for the customers behind them.
Today's run smashed the record the store set Thursday at closing when a total of 783 people paid it forward.
"Nobody has broken it (the chain) yet," said Joshua, manager of the Starbucks store in Newington, Conn. Joshua said he is not permitted to release his last name according to company policy.

If the gal in front of you pays for your coffee and you pay for the coffee for the dude behind you.
Does it really make any difference than paying for your own coffee?
To six year olds and liberals.
A programmer might call it fencepost error.

So...One person at the beginning paid for an extra coffee, and everyone else paid for their own?
I guess if you’re in starbucks, you’ve already demonstrated herd mentality so why not continue.
I could really care less. SB are libtards....appeal to libtarded city dwellers as a ‘status symbol’.....and their coffee is overly bitter and over-priced.
I’m a coffee fiend, a lover of the bean.
Starbucks got ONE purchase from me... and I still regret it.
Reminds me of the Moonies.
Hmmm. It appears at least a few in the interim added multiple cups.
They will all probably deduct it from their taxes. It’s charitable to give to needy Starbucks patrons.
I have a starbucks right across the street from me and have no interest in going there. Have had Starbucks 1 or 2 times and it tasted burned. I stop at the quickie gas stations and pay $1.49 for a vanilla cappuccino out of the machine occasionally though. Love those! Lol
It’s like 6 or 8 dollars for a large late. I would like to buy a machine just to make my own. Think I’ve seen them advertised.
Starbucks got one or two. It stopped when I got a mocha and the cup had some faggots sob story printed on the side.
Reminds me of the book "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten".
Not if there’s a car full of yuppies behind you. I love Starbucks, but I’m a early morning dark roast drip or French press kind of guy.
Or you just love the way they roast their coffee. Just saying.
Only if your vente was $4.99 and the pay-forward was a $25.00 tray some yuppie was bringing back to his office. ;D
...oh this could get ugly. Someone is bound to take advantage of others generosity.
Here, Dunkin is MUCH better. ;D
Love those too.
Once they get cold, they just taste like a warm milkshake.
