‘Twilight for Coal in the United States’: EPA Announces New Regs on ‘War on Poverty’ Anniversary

The Environmental Protection Agency moved forward with a proposed rule to require coal-fired power plants to install a technology aimed at reducing greenhouse gases that the Government Accountability Office found won’t be commercially viable for several years.

The EPA first proposed new caps on carbon dioxide emissions from fossil-fuel fired electricity generating units in April 2012 and received more than 2.5 million public comments on the rules. In the proposed rule filed with the Federal Register on Wednesday, the EPA said it is withdrawing the 2012 proposal and moving forward with new substitute rules.

Comment if you dare. But, be prepared for an irs audit. Or the epa will find some water on your property. Or something. And here is thought we had 50 years of the war ON poverty. It's actually the war FOR poverty. DOH!

Good point and this view will limit and skew the comments. The solution will not be found by commenting to the EPA or within the EPA regulatory framework. The government is no longer honest; it is a partisan enemy.

I was listening to NPR yesterday and they were interviewing people in Martin county, the one LBJ visited. The announcer talked about how things are bad because hundreds of Coal mining jobs are gone recently.

To which I wanted to yell at the radio, “AND WOULD YOU CARE TO ENLIGHTEN YOUR LISTENERS AS TO WHY THAT IS HAPPENING, YOU OBAMA SHILL!”

With the power Obama now has through the FCC, IRS, NSA, DOJ, etc. most are going to fall into line. The hope is that some are going to face the question of whether they would rather live on their knees or die on their feet with the proper answer.

LOL! That’s more like it. But, since you tuned in to npr, you may be declared to have a mental deficiency and thus be prevented from owing firearms. :>)
