“PACKERS WON THE SUPER BOWL......WOOO HOOO!”
Wow, one self-confident low maintenance, the other not so much.
RIP.
I don't recall Sharon Tate on Pettycoat Junction, but I do recall being about 8 years old and already having a hankerin' for those gals in the tank.
We would be about the same age, I don’t recall these shows til they were in re runs and I was I Jr High and that was around the bicentennial.
I do remember watching Jeanie first run because my dad for some reason was fascinated by Barbara Eden and my mom liked Larry Hagman before he was JR. The only other show I recall first watching first run was Green Acres but that’s becsuse I loved Arnold Zefflel
Nancy Kulp must have gone nuts with all those hot ladies on set!
LOL.
Tina? Ginger didn’t show up on my Jewdar! Wow! I need to get the thing calibrated. I missed Simon Cowell too!
I am probably a few years older than you. I do vaguely recall Gilligan when it was on regular TV, but got to know every line of dialogue later, when it was on reruns every day after school. The lineup was Leave it to Beaver, Gilligan, F Troop, Andy Griffith, Beverly Hillbillies. Later they added shows like Bewitched, Jeannie, Brady Bunch. Somehow, with all those shows, we still managed to play outside a lot and always be in a sport. I think we didn’t have as much homework as my kids have now.
One thing about those 60s sitcoms, they sure had a long lives in syndication, compared to the equivalent shows that followed them. Probably because they generally had both ‘kid appeal’ and a sense of timelessness. The 70s/80s representatives (excepting the early-70s “Brady Bunch”) tended to comparatively bomb in reruns, for the most part. But the 60s shows just kept going and going and going.

RIP.
I have always thought of Bob Denver as. Beatnik
From Wikipedia:
After high school, in the midst of World War II, Johnson joined the United States Army Air Forces as an aviation cadet and was commissioned as a second lieutenant. He flew 44 combat missions as a bombardier in B-25 Mitchell twin-engine medium bombers. While flying as a navigator in a B-25 with the 100th Bombardment Squadron, 42nd Bombardment Group, 13th Air Force, his plane and two other B-25s were shot down in the Philippines in March 1945 during a low level bombing and strafing run against Japanese targets. The planes were hit by intense flak and had to ditch in the waters off the port of Zamboanga. During the ditching, he broke both his ankles and the radioman next to him was killed. Johnson earned a Purple Heart for this mission. He was also awarded the Air Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three service stars, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one service star, and the World War II Victory Medal. He was honorably discharged with the rank of first lieutenant on November 22, 1945. He then joined the Army Reserve and used the GI Bill to fund his acting studies at the Actors Lab in Hollywood.[

It actually turns out, Gilligan was his last name, and his first, although maybe used once in an unaired pilot episode, was "Willie".
Gilligans last name was Gilligan. No where on any of the episodes is his first name found or used, though producer Sherwood Schwartz said the character was to be named Willie Gilligan.

Yes, and she was not the only member of our Tribe on the Island.

Ok, I could see that. I could also see backus - but I guess not.
It used to bug me as a child, seeing all these Jews on TV walking around saying Merry Christmas! :) I didn’t get it.
