Porky’s? Maybe Ace Ventura?

I got a gift pack of 5 movie tix as a BDay gift; 5 months later, I still have 3 of them (wasted 2 on Anchorman 2). Hollywood is incapable of producing anything good (or midling) to see.

Can’t wait for the “Point Break” remake, amongst others...

“Even the dog is embarrassed to be in this movie.”

LOL, thanks for your review/warning.

It sounds truly dreadful.

Holding it back for a January release sounds like they knew they had a turkey on their hands.

It makes one wonder... when Hollywood will discovery the fool's errand they journey down?

Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids... as wasting millions and millions on liberal agenda BS flicks is for Hollywood--

Gadzooks, didn't I just say that... on another thread?

Gee, Bendy... It must be déjà vu all over again!

Let us start over here:

Re: Gee, what reboot will Chris Pine star in next

Well, he sure as hell ain't playing me... in Futurama: The Re-bot Re-boot

No, I am... and it is about time for my comeback!

“Costner played the Hatfield patriarch, I think.”

Was it him, I can’t remember. I do know Powers Boothe was in it.

It was so good, hubby and I watched some re-broadcast (of a number of episodes) that actually had one of those super-imposed “coming soon” logos for another show in the corner of the screen THE WHOLE TIME.

Maybe we’ll get to see it again in better conditions one day.

“Next movie, the world will be held hostage by Amish extremists from Indiana.”

Don’t give them any ideas!

It makes you think though....what low tech device would these Amish terrorist use in their effort to force us all to live the simple life, as they do?

My wife and I enjoyed the movie.

I saw it yesterday, I thought it was ok too. We finally had a day where the temp was under 90, so we went to see it.

That would be ****ing hilarious if it was a reboot, which it’s not. (the PREQUELS SHOULD be rebooted BTW, they could hardly have been worse).

Mark Hamil as “Luke Prime” goes back in time to to Episode 3 to stop a Sith Lord with poor motivations who has also gone back in time.

Thanks to the Sith Lord, Obi Wan dies fighting Vader. Vader, who is uninjured, overthrows Palpatine and turns Yoda to the dark side to be his apprentice.

Luke impersonates Obi-wan and teaches Pine the ways of the force before being mauled to death by a CGI womp rat.

The New Death Star, which was built several years too early and looks like an apple store, destroys Naboo instead of Alderaan. Jar Jar Binks becomes a bitter smuggler, taking over the Han Solo role, even hooking up with Leia (Jennifer Lawrence) instead of Han.

Some Wookies make a cameo, they all have multiple piercings.

Luke 2.0 is inexplicably promoted to Admiral in charge of the rebel fleet and dies kamikazeing his flagship into a Super Star Destroyer.

Leia, with the help of Lando (Johnny Lee Miller), who has inexplicably become White, defeats Vader (still played with negative aplomb by Hayden Christensen) after insisting NO THAT’S NOT TRUE, THAT’S IMPOSSIBLE, when he tells her he’s her father, and then throws a heavily tattooed Darth Yoda down the Death Star reactor shaft.

And that’s it, no scenes in between for character development or anything like that! Cha-ching, blockbuster! Your welcome, Disney. ;D

"Luke impersonates Obi-wan and teaches Pine the ways of the force before being mauled to death by a CGI womp rat."

With the womp rat being played by the powerfully charismatic Channing Tatum, who has to be in every mother****ing movie today.

You ain’t kidding.

IMDB has him in 5 2014 films, though 2 only as a voice actor (1 still filming, 2 completed, 1 in post production). 22 Jump street is coming soon, yes 22 Jump Street.

And EIGHT projects “in development” (details only on IMDbPro).

Not surprised.

The original trailer, which highlighted Keira Knightly, was so poorly received it was pulled and re-cut a week later.

I thought the second trailer was even worse than the first one.

I’ll still go.

After seeing Knightly in “Pride and Prejudice,” I’ll be hooked on that young lady for life.

Silverado?

Wyatt Earp....yes I know Tombstone was better....Kimer versus Beihn.....perfect

fandango?
Untouchables?
Field of Dreams?
Open Range?
Bull Durham?
He has some stinkers though to be sure

He’s Californian but acts laconic southern...

To each his own I guess....

I just read a long article in GAME INFORMER magazine about the demise of the Lucas Arts video game company, and what yu wrote was a pretty good synopsis of it.

Reminds me of the plot drift in the Jason Bourne trilogy.

The first film was quite good.

By film number two we have a corrupt CIA and a remorseful Jason Bourne who needs to apologize to everyone.

And, of course, by film number three, water boarding and CIA trainees doing practice assassinations on hooded and shackled victims.

Sounds like the "new" Jack Ryan gave up before the movie even started.

Some actors I can’t stand because of their politics, but this is one I can’t stand simply because he cannot act whatsoever. Bland, pretty boy who has the presence and charisma of whipped cream. Chris Pine is almost as bad, and he will never be Kirk (Shatner would’ve slapped the crap out of him). They might as well have cast Hayden Christensen or that Fast & Furious guy who just died. So many movies and tv shows these days have this type of actor that is completely indistinguishable from another. Remember when they used to have stars that actually stood out and were different ? I miss that... a lot.
