The mission will be automated and unmanned, but if all goes well Sierra Nevada hopes to have a human flight by sometime in 2017.

Doesn't sound like a technological improvement to me.
Put it on top of a SpaceX grasshopper, and have a fully reusable craft.
Is Dreamchaser a new brew from Sierra Nevada Brewing?
TDRS-L launch happening right now.

Launch has been delayed slightly due to a telemetry problem. Hurry over there quick before the rockets lifts off.
New launch time is in about 7 minutes...
This is one fantastic spacecraft...

The next-generation NASA science-relay satellite is being prepped for shrouding in the bullet-shaped nose cone that will shield it during launch Jan. 23.
At the commercial Astrotech processing campus in Titusville, the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite L, or TDRS L, is being readied to join NASA's constellation of communications satellites 22,300 miles above Earth. The craft will be encapsulated next Wednesday, Jan. 8 and then moved across the river to Cape Canaveral on Monday, Jan. 13 for mating to its Atlas-Centaur rocket. The United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 will carry the spacecraft on a two-hour flight to geosynchronous transfer orbit, the normal dropoff point for communications satellites. From there, TDRS L will maneuver itself into a circular orbit and undergo months of testing before being declared operational. TDRS satellites date back to 1983 to establish communications with the space shuttle. The system has grown over the years to provide coverage to the Hubble Space Telescope, NASA's low-Earth orbiting satellite fleet and International Space Station. Liftoff is planned for Jan. 23 at 9:05 p.m. EST.
Dang! Missed it by “that much”. Sounds like good news for SNC with the Dreamchaser. May have to give Steve Lindsey a call and see if he’s lookin’ for a little help. LOL!
Don’t know if you saw this a short while ago like around the first of the month. Sierra Nevada and ESA.

Went up at 9:33 PM EST. No clouds, no moon, just awesome.
Exactly — a 9.0 ABV IPA.
I bet it was...We’ve seen many out of Vandenberg, CA.
What is around the first of the month?
Always amazing. I wish I could have seen the Saturn Vs.
First part of January ‘14. I think the link was from 1/8/2014
I lived in Orlando, which is fifty miles from Cape Canaveral, during the Apollo program. Because of that, I got to see more than one Saturn V. I particularly remember my Dad taking me to see Apollo 11 a month before it went up, and my whole family going to see the Apollo 13 launch.
