In a speech about his initiatives to ensure Americans’ retirement security, Pres. Obama explained his strategy for dealing with Congress—sort of—using three “nots” and a “without.”
In Wednesday’s speech, Obama declared: “Now, I’m hoping that Congress goes along with this, but I’m not going to wait for Congress. I could do more with Congress, but I’m not going to not do anything without Congress, not when it’s about the basic security and dignity of American workers.”
Huh? What? This statement seems twice as confusing as “double-talk,” since it uses not two, but four negatives. …

He had to do it that way in order to keep from saying he was going to break established laws and ‘make’ laws in spite of Congress.
Sometimes these people get so full of themselves, especially when they seek to deceive.
His “I’ve Got a Pen” speech....was a demonstration of a guy with nothing much for goals, no cooperation left in his magic bag of tricks, and roughly thirty-five months of time left to do much of anything. Of all Presidential terms over the past hundred years....I’d say this one will have almost no impact accomplishments to talk about....for a four-year period.
Immigration reform? If it were packaged and somehow passes....I see dozens of foundations taking it to the Supreme Court, and there’s good odds that some piece or two of it will fail. This is a car with an engine, but no transmission....so it won’t move....as much as it might RAV the engine and toot it’s horn.
He should have added that he likes less than half of us half as well as we deserve.
They don’t call it “Obamacare for Nothing”!
Maybe if he lives to eleventy-one, he can make that speech.
His tecno spies just informed him as to the large number of reps. emailing each other ....about impeachment.

You remember the sheep in Orwell’s “Animal Farm”, right? They went from chanting “Four legs good; two legs bad” in the beginning to “Four legs good; two legs better” when they saw the pigs starting to walk on their hind legs.
It’s really only three negatives.
“...I’m not going to not do anything without Congress...” is the part of the sentence that counts; the following part, containing the fourth negative, is another clause.
Two of the three negatives would cancel one another, leaving “...I’m going to do something without Congress...”, or “...I’m not going to do anything with Congress...”.
“Let me be perfectly clear...I’m not gonna...ah...errr...be...ahhhh....errrr.....work with ahhhhh...Congressss...errrrr.....I have a pen and ahhhhh....phone....ahhhh......period!”
His problem is nobody dreally wants what he is shoveling.
