Researchers from Uppsala University in Sweden have performed the first study on humans that demonstrates how food's fat composition determines where fat will be stored in the body. Findings of the small, preliminary study suggest that polyunsaturated fat -- found in olive oil, nuts and seeds and oily fish-- seems to keep fat away from the abdomen and liver.
Published in the American Diabetes Association journal Diabetes, the study focused on 39 young, healthy adult men and women, all of whom ate an extra 750 calories per day for seven weeks. Extra calories were consumed via high-fat muffins baked by doctoral candidate and study lead author Fredrik Rosqvist. The goal was for participants to gain three percent of their starting weight.

Beer?
Fry up a trout almondine in olive oil and you’re set!
There is no fat in beer. There is only water, yeast, barley, and water. And alcohol. And yeast. Did I mention alcohol? No fat there...barley...slc0hollll...vdqalcium;b...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
This whole idea is nonsense.
Our founders hit on the secret to life......treat and see every person as an individual, not as a group or collective.
The same holds true for medicine and science.
I see this as PROOF that God is woven into the fabric of all things, especially this nation.
Well...I know that the more healthy fats I eat...The less body fat I have...and I have had regular bod pod tests for past months...lost 9% body fat...gained more lean muscle...interval training and intermittent fasting too...less work...more satisfying food too! (I EAT GRASS FED OR ORGANIC MEAT AND DAIRY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE)
Yum, are we all invited to dinner?
I find all this nutrition information fascinating. We are finally learning what these bodies God designed and created need to run at peak efficiency. Thanks for the post.
MARK
Just so everybody knows, visceral fat is the fat between the organs and is considered the most harmful. The fat that hangs over the belt is considered relatively benign but unsightly.
Not following your comment.
Genetics loads the gun; lifestyle pulls the trigger.

My nutritionist said it to me. :^)
Don’t know about all this, but...

A seven week study of 39 people. Worthless.

I might be wrong, but beer consists less calories than wine, which is for some reason believed to be healthier.
The problem with bear is that is makes you hungry and to consume extra food.
If you can cope with it and avoid extra food you won’t get fat from beer.
As for being fat in general, all these diets are nothing but astrology or science of the same kind. Move more, guzzle less - that’s the main secret to stay fit.
