Martin Gottfried, Theater Critic and Author, Dies at 80

Martin Gottfried, a drama critic and the author of several biographies of entertainers and playwrights as well as two influential studies of the Broadway musical, died on Thursday in Manhattan. He was 80.

His book on the bizarre and influential Jed Harris was hilarious! Particularly his funeral, presided over by his equally bizarre son, Jones Harris. Must dig out that book from my attic...
