I was bicycling in the San Francisco bay area before bicycling was cool. Once you physically get to the point where you can keep up and merge with traffic (street level, not the freeway) one can be less of a nuisance. The idiots that would do many of the actions mentioned in previous posts (riding side by side, acting like they own the road, etc.) pissed me off too. The best attitude to have as the bicyclist is assuming that no one can see you, that you are in everyone’s blind spot; when in doubt, pull over & wait for the danger to pass. It may be boring, but it is certainly healthier than acting like those pricks that own the entire road.

Memo to self,

Pack my Kahr P9 when road-biking, just in case I run into a closet-case with unresolved latent issues, who insists on projecting his hatred of himself onto me by attempting to run me down with his F-250.

Bookmarking this thread in case anyone named Kevin ever hits me. Should be good for an extra 10 years.

They seem to think it is OK to ride half a block on the sidewalk if the restaurant they work for is in the middle of the block. They’re still coming up behind people or who are totally unaware of them, or coming straight toward people, no matter where on the block their destination is.

You also must realize that FR has been infiltrated by liberals who desire to discredit conservatives? By passing themselves off as conservatives, the more outlandish they are, the better they like it.

keep drifting out of your bike lane and don't be surprised if one day you end up on the underside of my F350.

Oh goody! Another I hate bicyclists so let's think/dream about killing them thread.

I think you cyclist haters are jealous.

BTW, I don't ride. I think the hate on these threads is embarrassing.

I've gotta say that "drifting" off the shoulder is often caused by debris on the edge of the road like broken glass and shrapnel left over from vehicle collisions.

Don't bother trying to reason with these hate filled posters. They are too selfish to care about a fellow citizen.

Just read the anti posts. Jealous of the freedom of riding a bike. Of being active and healthy. Of being different. Of being in shape. It's a bunch of different things. But, the hate is way over the top for what cyclists do. Some of them must actually feel threatened by a cyclist. Why else would they think about killing them?

The only people who use the “compensating” comment are old women and faggots.

The rodeo bull rider drives a truck and will whip spandex ass.

I think about the incredible tragedy it would be if I accidentally killed a cyclist after the cyclist did something dumb and reckless -- which I see them so all the time. If they screw up, and I cannot avoid them in time, then they end up dead, and my life ends up ruined. They threaten me because my life could be destroyed because they do something dumb.

I worry about that.
