Theory: Terrorists kidnapped Zaharie's wife and kids, coercing him to steal the plane
March 17, 2014 | CivilWarBrewing

Well, what do you think, FReepers? I know the speculation is exhaustive but I've not seen nor heard any information regarding MH-370 pilot Zaharaie Shah's wife and children other than them reportedly moving out one day prior to the day of the flight. I think this could be a key clue in the plane's disappearance, hence my theory.

Wouldn't photos and video of his wife be plastered throughout the media?.. and interviews? Where's the interviews?

There were four of the scientists that shared numerous patents with one other not on the plane. From several posts yesterday patents included technology to create stealth air planes. Make them disappear. My question as to whether this could be done from one of their lap tops was pretty much ignored
Question is still in the back of my mind. We’re the learned passages playing with the planes controls ?

***There are three possible scenarios..because the plane did NOT crash...***

Indeed. No evidence yet of a crash or soft landing. Nothing to confirm what sequence of events was set in motion - or why. All the ‘evidence’ so far is data - i.e. speed, time in the air, altitude, pings, dysfunctions and one last voice contact.

While this incident has the appearance of a deliberate act of malfeasance - what if it was a collection of stupid mistakes by the captain and his rookie co-pilot??? Some clumsy behavior in the cockpit that caused some mishandling of the equipment - misunderstanding of instructions etc., subsequent corrective panic and actions that failed????

Ever hear of the Lippo Group? Maybe this whole thing was a good old fashioned case of Arkancide.

They must’ve practiced the fine art of crashing a 777 into the ocean without leaving a trace, then. It could be buried in Himalayan snow too, I suppose.

I said this the other day when I pointed out that for several days now they’ve just reported that the wife and children moved out. No indications that they are missing or that they don’t know where they are or that they moved out of country or what. So yea, I believe the possibility exists until proven otherwise.

Out of this whole long narrative and feigned astonishment about the even they can only say: “His wife and children moved out the day before”. That’s it. That’s all I’ve seen.

It’s classic “The dog that didn’t bark”.

And it’s also interesting that his nieces or nephew made a tribute video to him (Zaharie), but not his kids. The video refers to him as “Uncle Ali”.

No need to twist his arm. He (my theory) did it on his own. He was very politically active and hated the govt. On the day the govt arrested his oppo-party leader and his hero, the pilot said, “That’s it!” and did it on his own. This motive was riding on top of “sudden jihad syndrome” and pushed him over the edge to taking action.

Since NO ONE is talking about the “loss” of 20 programmers with expertise on embedded system controls including many of the languages used by powerplants, etc., it’s a bigger issue than what they’re letting on.

“....reportedly moving out one day prior to the day of the flight.”

.
So your theory is that wife and children were kidnapped by terrorists one day before the flight took place?

That didn’t give the pilot much time to do any planning even if he had given in to the terrorists’ demands.

I think there was a multi-hour epic battle between the hijacker-pilot, and the rest of the passengers and crew. The pilot either locked out the other pilot or incapacitated him in the cockpit, and turned off the commo and turned the plane. The passengers included a flight engineer, and possibly the other pilot, if locked out of the cockpit. They could access the service bay through the trap door behind the cockpit door, and begin flipping breakers and pulling out plugs, in an attempt to prevent the hijacker-pilot from flying to his destination or target.

I imagine they were screaming at him through the door and over the intercom, “What are you doing, in Allah’s name stop this madness!”

If they heard back, “Allahu Akbar! I will burn the infidels!” etc, then the situation would have been very clear.

It might have begun as a one-pilot hijacking, then moved to a battle to neutralize the pilot’s ability to fly, one system at a time. If the pax thought they were doomed anyway, it might have ended up as a “Flight 92” situation. If the target was, say, the Petronus Towers, they would have been heroes, and we may never know.

But Occam’s Razor says one crazy jihad pilot on a suicide mission is much more likely than a conspiracy with a hijack team on board, flying to a waiting landing field, with a hangar, fuel trucks etc.

Occam’s Razor. Like Egypt Air, but more of a plan than just diving into the ocean.

Egypt Air meets Flight 92.

They must’ve practiced the fine art of crashing a 777 into the ocean without leaving a trace, then. It could be buried in Himalayan snow too, I suppose.

Or, they must've practiced the fine art of finding a mile-long, pirated and abandoned airfield somewhere in South Asia, or Indonesia, where they can land such a jet, and have practiced the even finer art of hiding it from military radars or the local population as it landed. And of course, they must also have had the well-planned cooperation of scores of ground-crew at destination to manage everything from hiding the aircraft in a hangar, to dealing with every single passenger. Or they also have managed to kill every passenger upon landing to avoid every single one of them from turning on an iPhone or iPad which could be tracked, much less deliberately send out a message.

Tell me, whose scenario is more far-fetched?

No. But I think in this day and age, the risk assessment of killing 239 people compared to going to war and losing thousands, not to mention the cost of it made it a no brainier for Obama.

Plus, with the closing of the space program and the purging of senior military, Obama would have this capablity in “friendly” hands.

Of course this being tin foil hat time, that’s my reasoning.

Here is my theory:

1. Hijacked by pilot, probably to turn around and crash into something in Malaysia, given he is a radical.

2. In the process of trying to hide his return, flew over something sensitive in China.

3. China knee-jerked shot the plane down.

4. Local Chinese commander kept mouth shut, now cover-up going on too long, so China will never reveal what happened because it is embarrassed it shot down a plane with civilians.

Of course I think The History Channel is going full speed ahead on the alien abduction theory, and I'm sure they've lined up Giorgio for the special

But personally, I think your theory makes much more sense than any I've heard so far. Has there been any efforts to try and locate his family?

What we know is from media reports, in my neck of the woods. Pilot texted wife. Wife did not respond to his text. Nobody has given out the whereabouts of the wife and children as being accurate. She and the children maybe are protective custody but that is speculation.

I heard from a pilot today that the plane went to 45,000 feet. Now why would you suppose they went that high? To kill off the passengers. The cockpit has control of the oxygen and the passengers were denied that oxygen and died in about 25 seconds.
They did not want the passengers to panic and the theory goes that if all of those passengers ran to the back of the plane, it would be tail heavy and bring the plane down. This is what happened in 2001 in Pennsylvania. The passengers knew they were dead anyway so they brought the plane down by crowding in the back.
Or the plane was landed in the ocean without damage and slowly sank leaving no wreckage. I go for the landing somewhere in China.
