It’s really obvious that the plane was purposefully diverted and it wasn’t some kind of accident. It’s also obvious that whoever is responsible knows quite a bit about flying and that plane.
As to whether we’ll ever find out what happened - we may not - just as we have never found out what happened to that other big airliner that basically disappeared into thin air about ten years ago.
We never found out about that one and it looks like we’re never going to find out about this one either.

We have flooded ourselves with those types since the 60’s.

Are you sure? Most systems give the flight crew choices so that they can best deal with whatever emergency presents itself.
If your airplane had an inflight fire at altitude, would you want oxygen deployed?

Youve never belly flopped in a pool, I see. No, but I have seen it done. What was left was much larger than a thumb. (Why does that phrase make me think of Bill Clinton?)

How come the erratic pitching of the plane to 45K’ and down to 25K’ and so forth and on per ATC transponder only popping out now? I thought the transponders were turned off after co-pilot said “good night?” Normally pilots would say “good night” or “good day” or “roger, so long” if they sign off from departure control frequency after radar separation to air route traffic control center frequency.

Personally, I favor the flight deck fire theory, or the crew theft theory, but at least I know what I am talking about even if I don't know what actually happened to MH 370.I just can't accept the idea that an onboard fire disabled everyone to the point they never made another radio call, yet the airplane flew for another 7 hours or so with a fire (that should have eventually melted the cockpit like with Swissair 111 or UPS 6). So that leaves the jihadist operator theory.

I don’t know specifically about the 777, but I did fly briefly for El Al after the IDF.
The planes automatically deployed oxygen upon pressure loss on the theory that you don’t want to depend on someone who might already be passed out to manually press the button.

To be honest? The only thing that's really obvious is the lack of decent reporting.
Perhaps that's on purpose? It is the one stream media, after all.

Well, imagine a belly flop not from 5-10 feet, but rather 45,000.
Marked increase in velocity, especially in a plane that is designed to fly through the air rather rapidly.

Why don’t you jump in a pool of water from a mere 200 feet up and see how your feet feel. And if you still don’t believe me, jump from the same height face first.

So theres a huge solid wall out in the ocean for a plane to obliterate on? Who knew?At ~650mph, water starts looking pretty solid.

This morning during my drive to work I thought about Occam's razor and applied it to this issue.
I am not a pilot but I as I thought through this whole thing I came to a pretty similar conclusion as the above pilot.

I am sure it would really, really hurt and probably mangle up my body quite a bit. But that tells me nothing about how a massive airplane would react to the impact.
To say nothing of the assumption that the plane was going 500 knots. How has that been shown?
