Scientists have discovered a freakish, birdlike species of dinosaur — 11 feet long, 500 pounds, with a beak, no teeth, a bony crest atop its head, murderous claws, prize-fighter arms, spindly legs, a thin tail and feathers sprouting all over the place. Officially, it’s a member of a group of dinosaurs called oviraptorosaurs.

Unofficially, it’s the Chicken From Hell.

That is the bird from hell. Has been known to kill people. Went on a trail in Australia through a nature park. At the head of the trail it warned “If you come upon a Cassowary, raise your arms over your head to make yourself appear larger than the Cassowary.”

I looked at my friend “APPEAR larger than the bird!!??”

Tastes like Chicken.

Encounter one in a kitchen, and the only question is, who is on the menu?

demshateGod: "Time to make up a new dinosaur.
And how convenient, it looks like a bird, proving evolution (the word was mentioned 6 times in the article)."

Busko: "You are right. trying to keep that slim thread of hope fro evolution going.
Once again, the junk science on the move!"

In fact, evolution-theory is the science (whether you consider it "junk" or not), which underlies all work in this area.
This particular example is an unusually interesting evolutionary outcome.

Not to be confused with:

As a politician her whole life. It used to be that entrepreneurs and adventurers made the big bucks for big risks.

Now it’s the crony capitalists for no risk.

The arms don’t look right. See post 41. Somebody’s goofing with the skeleton/muscle relationship. It could just be a big flightless bird.
