The link leads to the Amazon.com product description page. I haven't tried the app before but it looks like something I've been wanting and I thought I would spread the word.
Thanks!
Thanks for the heads up!
” I haven’t tried the app before but it looks like something I’ve been wanting and I thought I would spread the word.”
Try it and let us know how it compares to Polaris Office.
I look on the site everyday to see what is “app of the day”, today was not that day. So thanks for posting.
Spreadsheets on my Droid-X are a real bitch to create.
Last time something was suggested ‘free from amazon’ on here, asmazon demanded that I do a complete registration, with all information, before i get whatever it was they were handing out.
An office suite for a smartphone? I don’t see the benefit in that, with the limitations of smartphone plan gigabytes.
A smartphone may have fancy gigawhoseits, but it’s still just a phone, not a laptop or a desktop computer. Oh, and for the record, an electronic ‘pad’ ain’t a laptop, either. It MIGHT be a phone, but for me, it’s got the same allure of a crack whore.
Microsoft Excel on my telephone? Why not, the rotary dial has all the numbers. What else will they think about?
I use a phablet (Samsung Note II) and want the ability to use office suites in moments of need. I’d never prefer to use a phone for such tasks but there are times when I need to.
Since I haven’t used an office suite on a phone yet, I can’t say how it will impact my gigas but I never come close to using the amount my plan offers (even at minimum level is 2gigas) by surfing and I hope to use the App to develop small bits of needed info on the “desktop” so I don’t plan to send large chunks of data.
I’m not a phone enthusiast really; I haven’t gotten into the Android platform much and am currently only using a fraction of my phone’s capabilities but there are times when I need the ability to turn some data around or view some data. Perhaps if only to help me feel like less of an idiot when I am seen holding a paperback book sized phablet to my head for conversation. ;)
I probably should have mentioned that my Android level is best described as “N00b”; I haven’t tried Polaris.
Not just smartphones use Android.
Both my tablet and tv do; I’m installing the app on both.
And both have wireless keyboards used as needed.
Excellent.
didn’t know there was anythign like this available for Nook and sure enough there is but, it’s a paid version.
If they can offer this, then the Nook becomes more than a brick most of thyme.
Just called B&N and they say they do offer “Free Friday” and there may very well be a version they offer on this as a response.
What does your plan have to do with anything?
honest question...
thnx
Bada Bing!!!
Just what the Dr. Ordered!
I was spying a Samsung last night at Costco and now I don’t need it.
Would be nice if I could copy/paste in the web browser but, I’ll live without it for now...

We have two lines unlimited for $60 per month. However, 95% of our data is wifi.
Nookies everywhere will celebrate if they do!
I see from the comments on the product page that the suite will work offline: “I put the phone in airplane mode and all works fine. “
Thanks ransomnote.
This is what the Boss (read wifey) had to say. She has an ASUS transformer tablet with the keyboard
Oh wow, Polaris can’t hold a candle to this. LOVE IT. Thank you for sending this to me. I be a happy girl. That was the one thing I didn’t like about my toy - that I didn’t have an office suite that read Word. Yippee!

I found what I think is a better program, and it is available to the Nook for free. Look for Kingsoft Office Suite in the Google “Play” store on your Nook.
