I’ve decided to stop feeding the trolls.
I am holding you responsible for your own words.
So we have a girl who gave birth at age seventeen to a child conceived by rape. Take that backwards in time nine months and she was likely sixteen years old when she was raped.
In ifinnegan world its what? When they're big enough they're old enough?
How do you arrive at your “broodmare” verdict?
Beautiful story. I hope we hear more later.
You’re going to get mighty hungry.
You think He even loves me? Well I think He loves you, too. I just think He thinks you’re a jerk. And I mean that in a Biblical sense. Remember when he said “let those among you who are without sin cast the first stone”? Yet here you are refusing compassion - as a Christian, no less - for a woman who did what she could to enable her baby to survive. Oh I’m sorry - she didn’t do it according to YOUR spiritual purity specifications? Well then, she deserves NO compassion then, of course! But before God, with the last of what she had to give, she saved her child.
And for that, she has my compassion - and that of many, many others.
But we’re not as pure as you.
Groan...
Why? Sire & dam do not necessarily equate to mother and father; and it sounds better than sperm donor & warm pocket.
I don’t buy the story she was raped. Abandoning a new born baby in a bathroom does not lend credibility to a person’s other claims.
Even if raped, which would be horrible of course, there was no reason or excuse to leave her baby in a bathroom.
There was no reason to keep the pregnancy secret and not tell anyone. Especially if she was raped.
Human beings do not leave their newborn babies in bathrooms.
I think the adoptive parents should never have told their daughter that aspect of her newborn life.
How do you know what was in her heart? Negligent, yes, but I suspect she wanted someone to find and care for her child, and her - shall we say - prayers were answered.
Her behavior was deplorable, even criminal, but far worse has been done to many children with no legal repercussions. It's a schmaltzy story, granted, but thank God it turned out okay.
“Her behavior was deplorable, even criminal...””
That’s what I’ve been saying.
