Please pray for my leg

Bad infection in my right leg. Went to the local VA Clinic a week ago and the physician insisted that I be rushed to the local emergency room to check for a blood clot. Hours later - no blood clot found, so ER doctor prescribed two antibiotics. Have been on them for a week now and while they've tamped the infection down, they aren't defeating it. So I've pleaded with the VA Clinic to please give me the antibiotics that have successfully fought it in the past. I'm still waiting to hear back. Meanwhile, lots of pain.

2nd D — I pray for your recovery.
In the meantime, suggest you call your Congressperson’s local office — even if it’s a Dem — and and raise hell about the very real chance that VA neglect will cost you your leg or your life, neither of which will look sound on the news. Make a specific request for what you want their office to do (contact your local VA immediately and get them off their sorry butts NOW.) Give Dr’s name and phone, and the med you need. Your taxes pay the staff to provide “constituent service”; they might actually do something. Wishing you the best.
