MOZILLA** Interesting posting from an Insider
Pastebin ^ | Apr 7th, 2014 | Mozilla Developer

Hello. I am member of Mozilla's development team and these postings here lately force me now to react. Let me first clarify one thing. I do that because someone has finally to speak out some things... Things which should clearly brought out to the public....

First, the incident about our short time CEO Eich..... many of us do NOT agree with what has happened. There has been a massive amount of pressure inside and outside of Mozilla which brought him to resign from his post.

About the ads in the new tab page... Our reasoning for this is to make us more independent moneywise and influence wise from Google Inc. - the problem is, even with that we still are unable to break free of Google in so many ways sadly!

About Australis and the so called chrome similarity: In business you have to make some compromise to get your income, there are quite a lot dependencies which often stand in the way what you can do or not do!

BUT: I really would lie if i would now say that there would be no suggestions/recommendation/expectancies coming from the side of Google Inc towards us in terms of general feature request or UI features. Which leads to Australis. I can say, without Google Australis would be a hell of more customizable as it is as end result. Again.. many do not agree with Google's influence and would like to see the relationship between Google Inc. and Mozilla terminated!

And last but not least towards this political boycott... Eich's departure is NOT the whole sickness, it is only part of the symptoms which are plaguing Mozilla. Mozilla as it is right now is torn into half. One half often does not like what the other half is planning. This and the massive amount of Third Party organization influence since a long time is leading to things like that which are damaging in a massive way Mozilla's reputation!

In the end many of us as i said do not agree with most of the above mentioned problems, the reason nobody is complaing is because it is like in every other business... criticize the leaders and you are history!

If you really feel the need for a boycott... Do it against Australis, do it against Google's influence and the influence of the ads industry into Mozilla! Stay with Firefox 28 instead of 29 or stay with Seamonkey. Drop your Google Mail, stop use Google search, write Google a message in their groups that you dislike their direct influence in many of Mozilla's business/developement decisions! We have to get independent again!

Some adresses where you can write: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/mozilla.governance https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/firefox-dev

Or feel free to write your protest to #mozilla or #firefox over Twitter or contact people like Mitchell Baker.

Again... boycotting because of political reasons changes NOTHING - not when the sickness which plagues the construct goes much more deeper! Don't forget with enough support we can change nearly everything! Help us get healthy again, help us break free of limitations we are suffering right now!

After all we are Mozilla - Doing good is part of our code! And we still have not stopped to be the good guys!

With kind regards!

I more than half suspected Google’s fingerprints might be all over this filth. Restraint of trade, a Virtual Trust, that will never be pursued by this administration’s corrupt Justice Department.

I totally agree with you... Not only that, but the fact that they obviously have been infilterated with the homostapo/queermafia just like about 90% of everthing else in our lives :/ (and they are still only 2-3% of the population..) :(

Was always curious (in the very back of my mind) where Mozilla was getting funds from... We (open-source guys and gals) were always sending in donations.. but I never thought that would have been enough to support the full timers.. This, if true, pretty much told us everything.. :p

Not that it wasn't clear at first... but one glimpse of the Mitch-meister, well, now it's crystal.

Though I feel bad for the guy who got a forced retirement, I’m sure he is smart enough to find his medicine of cold revenge.

I think he will, when it's all said and done. He seems like the kind who will land on his feet, join a competitor, and kick Mozilla's ass.

There needs to be more than that. Fire must be fought with fire.

By most accounts there was an active movement amongst mozilla employees to get Eich removed. There were certainly emails going around about it.

One or more patriots at Mozilla need to find a reputable Conservative outlet, one that will protect their anonymity (Breitbart) and release those emails. Complete with the names of the employees who were stirring up and leading the lynch mob. See how THEY like it when they’re explicitly identified as the petty little fascists they are. Publically.

I’d been looking for a link at Apple Store for Snow Leopard for some time, and was about to call when I found a help page about upgrading to 10.6.8. Lo and behold, there was a tiny little “click here!” link that led to a page where I could order the disc. Once I get the disc installed, I can update further to 10.6.8, and I think most stuff will start working again.

Apparently Apple is still supporting 10.6.8. I am saving the contact info you posted.

normally I wouldn’t stick around a thread so long... but I was just able to get out of bed for first time in a week. Last week, .. last slope of last day skiing.. first time I had freedom (not watching over 10 kids skiing), I HAD to go fast and furious... was great until the last 100 meters or so. My right ski hit something like a rock or chunk of ice..

I ended up learning how to do the splits >.< Right leg was ok, ham was pulled pretty tight, but knee was bent. Left left, on the other hand, was straight in front of me.. knee slightly hyper extended >.<
I did self check.. all toes worked.. rolled to side to parallel my skis.. small pain, but nothing ‘unusual..

Was same until I was on the bus back to Chiba.. Every time we made a stop for refreshments, it was harder for me to move my left leg.. I was getting concerned :/

Finally made it back to Tokyo.. hobbled my way to the train station to start my 2 hour trip home. Grr.. by the time I got off of the buss to hobble to my apartment, the pain was worse than when I was shot. A normal 1 minute walk from the buss stop took 17 minutes... spent the next 3 days peeing in PET bottles (recyclable). Was finally able to get to hospital mid last week.. Doc was kind enough to give me LOTS of meds (not even sure what half of them were for).. but, almost out of meds now, and knee still looks like a grapefruit :/

Starting yesterday, was able to bend my knee about 100 degrees... but took me about 10 minutes to straighten it back out (with LOTS of pain :/).

Apologies, didn’t mean to hijack my own thread :p

Pale Moon is an off-shoot of Firefox some could try as an alternative.

I read about Pale Moon on another FR thread yesterday and downloaded it to all of our home computers. Using the file needed to transfer the Firefox profiles the systems are all running perfectly with pale Moon and all bookmarks, passwords, and everything else transferred without a hitch. I even added all my security add-ins without a problem.

My home will now stick with Pale Moon until they decide to blow an aneurism and do something stupid.

Pale Moon uses DuckDuckGo as default search engine<

Go to Startpage's web site and add their search engine to the Pale Moon search list then just use Startpage.
