A Florida appeals court judge has ruled that an insurer is not liable for damages that occurred to an apartment after a neighbor's dead body 'exploded.'

Judy Rodrigo battled State Farm for almost six years, arguing that the insurer of her Jupiter condo should pay for the clean-up of her apartment.

She argued that the Keystone Condominium Association left the neighbor's corpse so long that the body's fluid leaked into her apartment.

LIKE IT NEVER HAPPENED! Oh wait...bodily fluids and pus? GROSS!!

My one experience with ServePro involved substantial overcharges (the company admitted that 2/3 of the billed amount was bogus) and serious ethical deficiencies.

Essentially they knew the house was a total loss, but tried to sell me water extraction from a burned carpet and drying fans for the same burned carpet.

The did claim that they fired the manager responsible, but offered no proof.

Actually, it kinda sounds like a wet ripping noise.
Like a large pimple, only watery.

King William the Conquerer exploded in his coffin too, making his mourners leave the church after bits of his body parts were.... Well.....it would make a great Monty Python sketch.

Here is an account.

why wouldn’t the apartment compllex be liable? she couldn’t force them to clean the dead guys’ place if they stalled on it, or left it to damage her place.

If the condo assoc left the body there, deliberately, instead of not knowing there was a dead body in the condo, then THEY should be the ones responsible for the cost of clean up.

I watched (from a safe distance) a large group of hunters pull an arrow out of a long dead deer. Every one of them puked until they were empty, and kept on retching. The sound was a sort of Pftssssshhhhhhhhhhhaaahhhhhh.

But it's a great way to test the range and penetrating power of your new Gamo Whisper 1200fps air rifle.

All summer, with great apprehension, I ride the Harley past deer-bombs on the roads.

The smaller vermin-bombs are not as scary...except for the skunks.

Crack the throttle and pray I miss the big moment.

:)
