I had a thought a while back and decided to post it:
There is a side of me that feels like I time travelled back to the 1970's. Let's face it, like then, we have a horrible economy, an inept President, gas (and energy in general) prices are high, we have a weakened military, Islamic radicals causing trouble, the Russians are invading their neighbors and we have Jerry "Governor Moonbeam" Brown as governor of California.
I heard Pablo Cruise on the radio a few days ago. I think this ties in.

The music was better in the 70’s and there was less political correctness.
On the other hand, the USC Trojans haven’t been to the Rose Bowl this decade. In the 1970’s, they went to six.
I was a teenager in the mid-to-late '60's and at the time, I thought the music of the day sucked. So I started seeking out tunes from the '50's and earlier.
Rod Stewart and Santana are touring together.
Blazing Saddles would have never made it to the screen in the current radical racist homo environment.
I wish it was the 70’s. At least we had the Reagan presidency to look forward to. O’dumbnuts is going to be marxist for life, just wait and see.

Same here. But I’d rather be stuck in 1970. By 1974, things had started to go to hell. (I wish I were stuck in the 60s. The normal part)
