On Saturday, Justina Pelletier turns 16 years old. I wonder what special plans the Massachusetts’ Department of Children and Families (DCF) have for Justina on her special day, her “sweet sixteen”, a day that comes along just once in a young woman’s life.
As a court-ordered ward of the state, Justina is being “parented” and “cared for” by the DCF.
justinapelletier6After DCF’s kidnapping of Justina over 15 months ago through a malicious “parent-ectomy,” Justina’s horrific care has been referred to as both “barbaric” and “life-threatening.”
This young woman, who was competing in ice skating events just a year and a half ago, is now bound to a wheel chair. Her emotional and physical conditions have dramatically declined under DCF’s “care.”
These are just a few of the reasons why the Massachusetts nanny state makes a horrible parent and expose the hubris of the state in determining that they know what’s best for a child.
They removed Justina from the loving care of the Pelletier family and her home merely over a disputed medical diagnosis.
Under an arrangement with the DCF, Justina is now a resident of the behavior (psych) wing of the JRI Susan Wayne Center in Thompson, Connecticut, about an hour from the home of Linda and Lou Pelletier.
Justina should be returned home for her birthday!
The Liberty Counsel legal team filed a habeas corpus petition with the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court asking for the immediate release of Justina from her unlawful detention.
The fact is, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and the DCF could take action TODAY and send Justina home by simply informing the court that they agree with the petition.
They have the power to end this nightmare and let Justina spend her 16th birthday at home with her family.
Call Governor Patrick right now and urge him to “SEND JUSTINA HOME FOR HER 16th BIRTHDAY.” Be sure to mention that her birthday is THIS SATURDAY when you call.

Well, years ago, I had two uncles go to ‘teaching hospitals’ and get themselves all done up with new tests and experimental this and that. The one had black lung and mouth cancer, I think. He was a creepy man.
The other had lung cancer.
They both stayed at our family home, with my sainted mother caring for them, but it gave me the willies. We only had 1 bathroom, and they stayed by where the only TV was. I mostly remember how sick they were, and I remember hearing discussions about the need for all the things being done at the hospital.
I think my parents made sure to take me to see all the relatives that were dying of cancer, especially lung cancer, so that I would never take up smoking. It worked.
But I have lost my taste for teaching hospitals.
They brought her from Connecticut to Children's in an ambulance that night. The resident in charge of overnight admissions that night was a recent med school grad in psychiatry. He consulted with his "mentor" in the psych department and she had Justina admitted to the psych unit on the grounds that she actually suffered from somatoform disorder (a disorder this doctor has published papers about, claiming that 50% of pediatric illnesses are really somatoform disorder). They never let her see the GI doctor. When the parents insisted on continuing the treatment she had been receiving, Children's psych department called in DCF (apparently the only agency in MA that still has the right to impose the death penalty -- see their history for the last 3 years). DCF took custody and determined Children's psych department could keep "treating" her.
When the parents got a hearing before a judge, even the court-appointed guardian ad litem argued for returning Justina to the custody of her parents. The judge gave no weight to the testimony of the Tufts doctor (who is under a gag order). When the judge handed down his decision (after an unexplained delay of about a week IIRC, he awarded "permanent" custody to DCF, on the grounds -- he argued -- that the father had called DCF people "Nazis" and other terms of abuse. (IF you don't want to be called a Nazi, a good first step is not to act like one!)
You realize that by the time of the hearing, this had been going on over a year. Her parents were allowed one hour a week visitation in the presence off DCF people and an armed guard. In all this time Justina received no education (as required by state law), no opportunity to attend Mass or see a priest.
If Justina dies everyone involved in taking and holding her is guilty of first degree murder.
Nothing except take their daughter with flu like
symptoms to Children’s Hospital.

I have running battles with more than a few Freepers regarding exactly what the Gay State is,and isn't.This case is just another example of just how depraved this state's Rat Party,its leadership (that means *you*,Coupe Deval) and its fat a$$ed hack "workers" are.
There are some things that must actually be seen...up close...to be believed.Massachusetts is one of those things.

This is the first I am hearing about it. Thank you for the overview. It does seem like an unfair situation. Hopefully some resolution will happen.
They took her to BCH.
That was their mistake.
This is not the first time BCH has taken a child with her condition. They want to prove it does not exist. Last time they were forced to give the child back. Hopefully this time they will as well.
She will be lucky to see 18 in foster care.
