House Candidate Clay Aiken Wanted to Punch Ann Coulter in the Face

Democrat and "American Idol" runner-up Clay Aiken is running to unseat Rep. Renee Ellmers in North Carolina's 2nd congressional district and has also scrubbed his Twitter account of his public desire to punch conservative columnist Ann Coulter in the face.

"Anyone else watching Piers Morgan want to punch Ann Coulter in the face," Aiken wrote in a tweet in October of 2012.

It’s so funny how liberals look the other way when a Democrat is caught advocating violence on women that I thought I’d give them another chance to show their hypocrisy by uncovering a deleted tweet from their favorite congressional candidate in North Carolina – Clay Aiken!

On August 8, 2008, Aiken announced, on his personal blog, the birth of his son in North Carolina: “My dear friend, Jaymes, and I are so excited to announce the birth of Parker Foster Aiken.” The child’s mother, Jaymes Foster, is the sister of record producer David Foster and the executive producer of Aiken’s last three albums on the RCA label. “The little man is healthy, happy, and as loud as his daddy,” Aiken wrote. “Mama Jaymes is doing quite well also.

After several years of public speculation, Aiken came out as gay in a September 2008 interview with People magazine.

Rolling Stone featured Aiken on the cover of its July 2003 issue. In the cover article Aiken said, “One thing I’ve found of people in the public eye, either you’re a womanizer or you’ve got to be gay. Since I’m neither one of those, people are completely concerned about me.” In subsequent interviews he expressed frustration over continued questions about his sexual orientation, telling People magazine in 2006, “It doesn’t matter what I say. People are going to believe what they want.”

He described himself in Learning to Sing as a proud Southern Baptist who had journeyed away from those roots in his late teens in search of a religion with more liberal social policies, and then returned to that church because of family and social ties although he remains at odds with the church on some issues. When asked in a PBS Kids interview to name his idols, he responded, “When people ask me what three people I’d like to have dinner with, living or dead, I say Jesus Christ, Mr. Rogers, and Jimmy Carter.”

In September 2006, Aiken was appointed to the Presidential Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities by President George W. Bush. Appointees serve a two-year term; Aiken was sworn in September 14, 2006, by HHS Assistant Secretary for Children and Families Wade F. Horn, Ph.D. In April 2008, Aiken told People Magazine that he was too busy to do as much as he would like, but “If there’s something I can do remotely, I would’ve been happy to do it.”

While appearing in Spamalot, Aiken used his free time and celebrity to help raise funds for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) during their fund drives and auctions. In 2010, Aiken spoke out for gay rights at the Human Rights Campaign dinner in North Carolina. He also joined other celebrities in filming an educational video for Cyndi Lauper’s web based Give a Damn campaign, a project of her True Colors Fund. In addition to UNICEF and his National Inclusion Project he is promoting GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network as one of his causes on his official website.

Clay Aiken’s best friend – and the mother of their 7-week-old son Parker – music producer Jaymes Foster, 50, chatted with PEOPLE during the magazine’s photo shoot at Aiken’s home in North Carolina, where Foster is currently staying. While Aiken tended to Parker, who was conceived via in vitro fertilization, Foster dished about her pregnancy, being an older mom, and who’s better at changing diapers:

At age 50, do you feel ready to take on parenting for the first time?
Jaymes: I really think I was not ready to have children – well, I know I was not ready to have children, be a mother – in my 20s or 30s. I had the freedom then to travel the world and have a wonderful career. I believe at this point in my life it’s the right time, and I think because it’s the right time, I’ll hopefully do a good job. If I don’t, Clay will be all over me!

Do you support Clay’s decision to publicly acknowledge he’s gay?
Jaymes: I totally support him. It’s his choice. It’s a choice that he made. I love him and I’ll support him in any choice that he makes, whether as an entertainer, or a father, human being, of course I support him.

How has your relationship with Clay changed since Parker’s birth?
Jaymes: We love each other dearly and deeply as friends, but I think as parents now, there’s an even greater bond, certainly for me. Our job is to remain best friends for the rest of our lives and that’s the most important thing for Parker.

Poor Mister Aiken was raked across the tabloid coals in 2007 after he (allegedly) posted photos of himself on the gay sex hook up site Manhunt. In August of 2008 Mister Aiken made a baby with ladee-pal and producer Jaymes Foster–a Claybaby, if you will–and a month later he publicly confirmed what anyone with eyes and ears already knew: he’s a homo. No. Big. Deal. He (allegedly) hooked up with unusually limber Broadway back-up dancer Reed Kelly sometime in 2008 but has (allegedly) moved on to lean and lithe actor/underwear model Jeff Walters. A few lurid photos of the young and hairless Mister Walters that he’d previously posted on the gay mobile phone hook up app Grindr recently surfaced that reveal that he, uhm, let’s just say that the photos make it quite clear Mister Walters doesn’t require any padding to fill out the pouch when he’s working. Iffin they want to take heed, there’s a lesson in this here paragraph for horny gays combing the internets for a little slap and tickle.
