A woman used a filet knife to kill two pit bulls that got out of a yard while she was walking her dogs in a Southern California desert city.
Debbie Duran and a friend were walking her three German shepherds on Wednesday in Apple Valley when she said a pit bull charged them and began attacking her friend and her dog, Jodie. Another pit bull ran up seconds later.
"They had one thing in mind and that was to possibly kill me, to definitely kill my dogs," Duran said, adding that she carries the knife for protection.
But Kathy Suggs, the owner of the pit bulls, said Duran didn't have to kill her year-old dogs, Angel and JoJo.
"She's just here stabbing like a wild, mad lady," Suggs said. "I can't even reach in to get the dog because she's swinging the knife."

My grandmother, who had grown up on a farm in Ireland but lived in Queens when I knew her, would ALWAYS take a cane when I was little and we went out for a walk.
She didn’t need it to walk, she always said it was “in case we meet a friendly dog”.
I never got a chance to find out what she actually meant by that.
I do too, although not usually with kitchen utensils.
I do have to admit the filet knife seemed to be pretty effective though.
If you can reach an uninvited pit bull with a knife, it’s fair game. Good job, lady.
My uncle used to ride his bicycle from his house to ours everyday and he always carried a fetching stick.
It seems that dogs don’t like to have vine maple clubs shoved down their throats.

I would love to see what her replacement dogs are? More pitbulls? Hope she gets sued, sued, and oh, sued again.
Sorry, but i have some uh, biases that push me toward Debbie’s side. The stereotype situations are all there.
I walk around with an aluminum bat for that reason. I am an owner of a typically banned breed, and I say, if the dog gets loose and comes at ya, shoot it.
Don’t ask her on a straight tequila night.
Kathy Suggs needs to have criminal charges and a fat law suit filed on her.
Some women are carrying knives 24/7.
You just are not aware of it because they’re not being featured in a news story involving their knives.

They would if the area has had mountain lion sightings, as has Apple Valley, CA. She’d be a fool NOT to carry a knife or gun when walking her dogs. It likely wasn’t meant for the pit bulls, but came in handy once they attacked. Pit bulls are no less deadly than mountain lions that typically avoid people, only animal prey. Perhaps the pits are more deadly,
