It’s a shame that even the elderly can be such fools.
I’ve been hearing about old people and STDs for years now. I think it may one if those media-generated crises. I’m 58 and certainly not getting any action, and neither are most of my contemporaries, except the married ones, maybe. I don’t even want it, and to be honest, it’s a relief after all these years of getting into so much man-caused trouble.

The rate of gonorrhea among blacks in 2012 was 462.0 cases per 100,000 population, which was 14.9 times the rate among whites (31.0 per 100,000) (Table 22B). This disparity has decreased slightly in recent years (Figure M). This disparity was larger for black men (16.2 times) than for black women (13.8 times) (Figure N, Table 22B).

I read an article several years ago that said The Villages retirement community in Fla. had the highest rates of STD’s in the country......
We were stupid in the 70s, and we’re still stupid.
This is fault of Viagra & Cialis type drugs.
Without them STD’s among the elderly would have nose dived.
Also older people have poorer visions and they can not read the two page long warnings of these erectile support drugs.
It clearly says there these drugs will not protect you from STD’s.
This isn’t a new but I guess this doc needs attention so she’s mentioning Fifty Shades instead of blaming the liberal sexual revolution.
