The National Park Service is launching an initiative to make places and people of significance to the history of lesbian, gay, transgender and bisexual Americans part of the national narrative.
Interior Secretary Sally Jewell is convening a panel of 18 scholars next month that will be charged with exploring the LGBT movements story in areas such as law, religion, media, civil rights and the arts. The committee will identify relevant sites and its work will be used to evaluate them for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places, designation as National Historic Landmarks, or consideration as national monuments, Park Service Director Jonathan Jarvis said.

Well, we have this park near where I live....
I’m sure buttdarts.com has quite the history.
This is easy. Try “promoting” many of the rest-stop restrooms along the interstates.
Maybe they’ll place Barry’s Gay Bath House in Chicago on the National Register.
I believe there is a “bone smuggler inn” in SF...
The Penn State locker room???
A bar in Greenwich Village where they had a scuffle with some cops back in the 60’s. Aside from that I have no idea what they would claim.
I’ll nominate the public restrooms in a couple of the city parks in SA for recognition-maybe even a plaque...
When I was in HS, every teen knew about those, what went on in there, and straight guys knew not to use them...
There was the Ramrod Room in Boston’s South End but that was closed.
How much is that going to cost?
Sick, sick, sick.
America continues its descent into depraved madness.
LMAO-great minds think alike...
Victory mosques come in pink now, apparently.
I can see it now: “The Sodomy Trail”. What a wonderful way to spend time with the younguns.
Sick, sick, sick. You know they will lie to meet their goal. Will they mention obama as the 1st gay prez!
Washington DC has too many useless Federal workers in make work jobs. Fire 50% of them and we’ll do just fine. Just think of the Federal Gov’t as a huge affirmative action jobs program for the otherwise unemployable........ 95%+ being liberals, feminazis and lesbians, gays, Aleutian Islanders, Samoans, blacks, Hispanics and other minorities
1600 Pennsylvania might be a start.
