Eva Longoria's female-focused steakhouse has closed less than two years after opening in a swanky shopping center on the Las Vegas Strip.
Officials with parent company Landry's say SHe by Morton's - which served petite steaks for the ladies at around $36 - shut down effective Sunday.
Company executives did not immediately return messages seeking further explanation of the closure.
The steakhouse, located at 3720 Las Vegas Boulevard, ran into trouble last month, when the Southern Nevada Health District temporarily closed it.
April 22, health inspectors found 32 food safety violations, mostly related to keeping food at proper temperatures and maintaining accurate thermometers.
A follow-up was conducted one week later, resulting in a slightly better score of 21 demerits.
However, officials ordered that the restaurant close until the violations were corrected.
About one day later the eatery reopened with a grade A from the health district, which it held for the month of May until it shut its doors for good over the weekend.
Longoria, 39, partnered with Morton's steakhouse to open SHe in late 2012.
The Las Vegas Sun previously said it evoked a 'feeling of opulence with rich textures of alligator, cork, mirrors and crystals, embossed metallic wall coverings and rich dark fabrics.
'Decorative, internally lit screens are spread throughout the restaurant giving the space a touch of modern art deco design.'
It gained a three-and-a-half star rating on the restaurant review website Yelp, with one happy customer deeming it 'a great steakhouse with fun trendy twist.'

Well, if there’s one way to draw in female customers, it’s lax food standards.
How hard can it be? You have to be either really stupid or really cheap, probably both in this case to have this happen. I ran food operations for close to twenty five years and never even had a Health Inspector question my operations, let alone shut me down!

I never quite saw the appeal of the “high end dining” trend in Vegas. That is, in a town where you could get first rate prime rib dinners for next to nothing and lobster tails big enough to feed three people, I never saw the point of having a Spago’s or some other trendy/haute cuisine joint.
Then again, I’m sure Spago’s is pulling in more money a month than I ever will see, so there’s that, too. LOL.
The decor sounds hideous.
