Hillary Clinton (aka Mrs Slick Willy) today explained the extent of them being "dead broke" and how they adapted.
Hillary stated that Bill (aka Slick Willy) used to hang out at the Salvation Army Store to pick up the used clothes that Slow Joe Biden brought in for tax deductions. The well used suits were tailored by the talented Hispanic maid into the famed Hillary pant suits. The under shorts were usable by Slick Willy once the skid marks were bleached down and dyed over by the maid.
Chelsea was signed up for the "free meals" programs at her private school. Chelsea informed the school that she was doing a "meals on wheels" project and needed the left over meals and the uneaten portions of all the other meals to take to the forsaken. Chelsea would take bags of food home where the French Chef would work his magic and deliver full meals for the household.
When invited to social events the Slick Willys would wear their oldest outwear and trade up in the cloak rooms when leaving. Chelsea was encouraged to trade up and acquire extra clothes when sleeping over at friends houses since most were doped up and wouldn't notice.
What really helped out was the White House silverware that was sold at MGB. Over 8 years at the White House Hillary accumulated a large stash of silverware which she was initially hoarded in case Slick Willy dumped her for some fat intern. It was easy to blame the shortages on foreign visitors at state dinners where Democratic politicians were present.
The turn around came when their IRS and NSA contacts felt secure in the Bush administration and they could leverage those connections into high paying speaking engagements. All at once they were in demand and on the road from rags to riches again.

So if you start out with $12 million, and you spend most of it on homes, high-living, etc., and are now looking at $2 million or less, you sob about being “broke”. Wow. Only if you’re a Clinton.
