Can't wait until October when "The Walking Dead" returns? Good thing AMC is looking out for you with an all-things-zombie celebration over Fourth of July weekend: There's a "TWD" Season 5 preview edition of "Talking Dead" and two new documentaries to tide you over until the fall.
AMC will celebrate "Dead, White and Blue" weekend starting July 4 at 9 a.m. ET/PT when the network begins airing every episode of "The Walking Dead," which will culminate in a "Talking Dead Season 5 Preview Special" on Sunday, July 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT with guests Aisha Tyler and showrunner Scott M. Gimple and hosted by Chris Hardwick.
But that's not all of the new "TWD" content. AMC has produced two new "Walking Dead" documentaries set to air in July. "Inside The Walking Dead" will premiere Tuesday, July 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and feature a behind-the-scenes look at how the show is made.
"Inside The Walking Dead: Walker University" will bow Tuesday, July 15 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and will give an inside look -- from makeup to choreography and more -- on the transformation from extra to walker.
I haven’t watched Longmire. The only TURN episodes I held onto were the last two, dang it.

As a side note, TNT just started a new series called “The Last Ship”. I watched the opening pilot this morning which I had recorded and it looked pretty good..........

I am re-reading “1776” by David McCullough. Funding for a spy ring is mentioned once but it was early in the war. You would enjoy it.

My daughter likes Daryl a lot, too. I told her they have to keep removing all his warts because they keep growing back. The look on her face was priceless. Then I told her I was just kidding and she smacked me on the arm. LOL

BTW, the actor who plays Rogers was Robert Bruce in Braveheart.

We were not even sure Turn would be any good or we were more concerned it would be a liberal version of the true story but we kept them just in case. We have only done that with a few shows. We can watch most of the previous seasons on Netflix but the previous seasons don’t show up until the week the new season starts on regular TV. There are only a few shows I can watch over and over...Longmire, TWD and Luther. Can’t get enough of those!
Oh, a friend of mine said this is a good show. Maybe I should check it out.

I HATE watching their ‘teaser’ previews. They hype the hell out of them, only to show something like 3 - 5 seconds of new and near meaningless footage. They’re pretty much annoying, bordering on being an insult to die-hard fans.
It wasn't me but I saw the first episode and I ended up totally confused. I'll have to watch it again as well as the second episode I have recorded........

Yep. When the season premiere ended, my husband said, "What did we just watch?" Last night's episode wa a little better.
