“This humanitarian emergency requires, as a first urgent measure, these children be welcomed and protected.” “Many people forced to emigrate suffer, and often, die tragically; many of their rights are violated, they are obliged to separate from their families and, unfortunately, continue to be the subject of racist and xenophobic attitudes,” the Roman Pontiff stated in the July 15 message.

The Pope needs to give unto Cesar what is Cesar’s.

And when it comes to suffering the little children to come unto Him, they can do that just as well in Honduras.

Send them all to Vatican City. He will be pleased to care for them. The pope is just another face of the problem. He is bent on the destruction of the Western Christian World.

Hey pope. Send your pope navy over here to pick up a few thousand. Open up your palace to house a few more thousand. What has your popeness and your church done to help the so-called disasters in the countries where these people are coming from??

‘He is bent on the destruction of the Western Christian World.’

That is becoming increasingly clear.

Historically popes believed they were Caesar. Or at least above Caesar. They believed themselves above every person and power. I doubt anything but the public packaging has changed.

Dear guy in Rome,

I accept your open heartedness, as part of your
political image. But, you live in a protected place,
considered by some misguided folks, as a
separate country.

I live in America. A country who has never
kissed your, uh, ring. All of these, that you
have a heart for, are invaders of my country.

I offer them no quarter, but a bayonet.

This Catholic says to bring back Pope Benedict.

As for Francis, he needs to learn how to sit down and shut-up. Sixteen months of his continual blather has really gotten irritating. People say he is so humble. I say that anyone who can’t resist pontificating on everything under the sun is on an ego trip.

How ‘bout the Catholic churches in the U.S, pay real estate taxes? And the priests....start paying income taxes. Auction off some your vast art treasures too, Francis. Use that money to fix the countries of the invaders.

Or better yet, pay to fly hundreds of thousands of them to Vatican City.

This whole liberal bent of the corrupt Catholic church is why I stopped attending mass years ago.

If you look at what's between the quotation marks, it's not that bad. It seems to me that he doesn't understand the politics of the situation. He may be getting bad information. The US is just one of many countries with a Catholic population.

“Many people forced to emigrate suffer, and often, die tragically; many of their rights are violated, they are obliged to separate from their families and, unfortunately, continue to be the subject of racist and xenophobic attitudes,”...“This humanitarian emergency requires, as a first urgent measure, these children be welcomed and protected.” [However, these protective measures will not be enough, he said,] “unless they are accompanied by policies that inform people about the dangers of such a journey and, above all, that promote development in their countries of origin.”

I’ve been done with the Catholic church for awhile now. Their motives for encouraging invaders are transparent. I got chastised on this forum for it, too. Being done with a hypocritical and greedy organization does not equate to turning your back on Christ.

I toured Vatican a couple of years ago. The Pope’s residence is cavernous. He could easily accommodate 1000 children from S.America crossing our southern border illegally.

these :children” must be welcomed, protected, and SENT BACK TO THEIR HOMES!

it is the height of arrogance bordering on child abuse or simple child abduction to keep them away from their homes

(any real, honest, genuine humanitarian cases excepted of course, but they are probably a small number)

besides, while the Holy Father is pictured with adorable little tots, many or most of these illegal invaders Obama is bringing in are full grown teenage/20’s men .... not prevcious little bundles of joy anymore, not by a long shot

ps: how many of these young men is the church flying to new homes in Vatican City?
